Joseph Watches PCNC During The Day

In recent years, I have been able to watch PCNC on my TVs at home on a daily basis.  At my house, it’s on channel 35.  PCNC stands for Pittsburgh Cable News Channel.  I usually just watch it on weekdays, but, sometimes, I’ll watch it on weekends.  I generally watch that channel in my “computer room” while I use my computer.  I’ll also watch it for short amounts of time in my dining room … and, on a few occasions, I’ll watch it for a few minutes in my living room as well.

Now, two years ago, I also made a brief appearance on PCNC while they were talking about The Home and Garden Show.  I appeared on the station for a few seconds or so.

If you guys need something to watch at various points during the day, you should watch PCNC.  It’s a fantastic channel … and it might make your day go by just a little bit faster.  That’s certainly true in my case.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For June 2018

Can you believe it?  The month of June is almost here … and that means that Summer is right around the corner.  It also means that we’re almost halfway through 2018 already.

In this blog post, I’m gonna tell you about a few of the blog posts that I’ll be writing down in June.  One of those blog posts will be my 900th blog post.  I’ll be writing it in the middle of the month.  I won’t tell you what it will be about yet, but I will give you a hint right now.  My 900th blog post will be about one of my classiest friends ever.  It could be about any one of you guys.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Remembers His Battle With Lyme Disease Two Years Later.”  I will talk about my battle with Lyme disease, which occurred nearly two years ago.  It seems like I just had it yesterday.  Tick season is getting underway, so I’m doing everything I can to stop myself from getting it again.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Is Not Going To The Cabins This Year!”  In the blog post, I will tell you why I won’t be going to the cabins this year.  The reason may surprise you a little bit.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph’s New Colussy Chevrolet Shirt.”  This year, Colussy Chevrolet, which is located in South Fayette, is turning 100 years old this year … and they will have a classy shirt, which will come out next month.  I may buy one for myself next month.  Of course, if I don’t buy one, then I won’t write this blog post.  I will write a back-up blog post … and I don’t know what it will be about yet.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “An ‘ode’ to a classy friend named Michael.”  This blog post will be about one of my friends, whose name is Michael.  I can’t tell you which one it will be yet.

I will also give my features a break in June.  I’ll be giving my computer a break from around 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8th, until around 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 17th, which is Father’s Day.

I hope you will check out at least one of my blog posts in June.  Enjoy your day!

The two sides of Kurta

Today, in this blog post, I would like to talk about the two sides of my friend, Robert Kurta … and, believe me, I have seen both sides of him several times in the three years that we have been friends.  We are both Facebook friends and real-life friends as well.

I first became Facebook friends with him back in the Summer of 2015 … and, not long after that, he would start bumping into me regularly whenever I would take my walks around National Hill.  First, he would do that as a member of South Fayette’s police department … and then, after he retired from that police department, he would just bump into me as a regular friend.  He would also bump into me whenever I would go through Oakdale.

I don’t have any photos of me bumping into him here in South Fayette, but I do have two photos of myself bumping into him in Oakdale.  So, without further ado, let me show you “The two sides of Kurta.”

First, I bumped into Kurta whenever I was watching the parade in Oakdale back in the Summer of 2016.  I snapped this selfie near the Oakdale Inn, which is located in the heart of Oakdale.

I bumped into Robert Kurta while I was at Oakdale’s parade back on July 29, 2016.

Second, I bumped into Kurta whenever I was walking along the Panhandle Trail in Oakdale on Sunday morning.  He was wearing a police officer’s uniform whenever I snapped a selfie.  He presently works a few hours a week at Oakdale’s police department.

On May 27, 2018, while I was walking along The Panhandle Trail in Oakdale, I bumped into Robert Kurta, who currently works for Oakdale’s police department.

Thank you for allowing me to show you “the two sides of Kurta” in this blog post.

Now, two years ago, before I retired one of my blog’s features, which is called “Joseph’s Road To His 30th Birthday,” I did say that I was hoping that I would see Kurta wearing something other than an officer’s uniform.  Well, I did just that three months later.  Hopefully, that can happen again soon.

My 888th Blog Post Is About The Number 8

Happy Memorial Day, my friends!  Today, I’m writing my 888th blog post down … and, today, it will be about the number 8.  I will tell you some rather interesting things about the number 8 … and I will try to use the number 8 in the things that I’m talking about here.

The current year is 2018.

One of my favorite routes in the Pittsburgh area is Route 978, which is located in my part of Allegheny County.

For the past few weeks, I was able to watch channel 208 for about 90 minutes on certain evenings.  I needed a way to unwind after going through some tough days.

I started my blog on the eighth month of a year, which would be August.  I started it in August of 2014.  August, of course, is the eighth month of the year.

Depending on my mood, I usually do my best to wind down during the 8:00 hour on certain evenings.  I will watch a program during that hour, if I’m up to it.

Whenever I gave my computer some “vacation time,” I will usually do it for eight days at a time.

My part of National Hill has eight other houses, which are all very unique in many ways.  We actually have nine houses in my part of the neighborhood, but I do like to give praise to the eight other houses, which are located in my part of National Hill.

In the past, I would sometimes work eight hours a week at my local T.J. Maxx store, but, in recent years, I would just work four hours a week at the store.  I really like it.

So, there you have it.  I was able to give you eight interesting facts about the number 8 that I think are interesting to me.  It was the subject of my 888th blog post.

Enjoy your day!

Two Macho Dudes In One Night

On Wednesday evening, I was able to go to Bee’z Bistro and Pub, which is located in South Fayette.  I went there with one of my relatives for two hours … and I was able to see one of DJ Joe’s shows for the first time in almost two years.

I was also able to wear my purple Macho Man shirt to Bee’z while I was there on Wednesday evening.  I really like the shirt a lot.

On May 23, 2018, I went to Bee’z Bistro and Pub, which is located in South Fayette. I was able to wear my Macho Man shirt while I was there.

At around 6:30 that evening, I saw DJ Joe walking through the restaurant’s front door … and I noticed that he was wearing a purple shirt as well.  Just minutes later, I realized that he was also wearing a purple Macho Man shirt.  We sort of planned this.

On May 23, 2018, my friend, DJ Joe, who was also at Bee’z Bistro and Pub that evening, was also wearing the purple Macho Man shirt.

So, obviously, me and DJ Joe were wearing our purple Macho Man shirts while we were at Bee’z on Wednesday evening.  So, obviously, as today’s blog title states, there were “two macho dudes in one night.”

On May 23, 2018, me and DJ Joe wore our purple Macho Man shirts to Bee’z Bistro and Pub. We were both able to wear them with class. According to this blog’s title, there were “two macho dudes in one night.”

Before I left the restaurant on Wednesday evening, he was doing something called “Name That Tune.”  Now, I didn’t play it myself; however, I was able to see how the restaurant’s customers were able to play the game.  It looked like a fun game to watch.

I will do my best to see another one of DJ Joe’s shows in the future.  His shows are fun to watch!

Enjoy your day, my friends!

I’m seeing clouds and blue holes!

On Tuesday, I almost didn’t get to take my evening walk around National Hill, but at around 5:05 on Tuesday afternoon, I was able to take my walk.  It was cloudy for most of the day.  The sun was out while I took my walk, but it also pretty humid outside at the time.  Just two hours after I finished taking my walk, the storms came to National Hill … and they were here for several minutes.

Well, anyway, while I was taking my evening walk on Tuesday, I snapped three photos of the clouds, which were in the skies above National Hill.  The clouds were all white, dark and grey … and they were also overlapping each other at times.  I also saw some “blue holes” in the clouds as well.

I hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!  I will try to give you guys a fantastic blog post or two at some point over the Holiday weekend!

Let’s Talk About A Past Blog Post: We have the exact same birthday!

On the evening of December 23, 2016, I bumped into Ryan Wolf, who is both my friend and my classmate. Believe it or not, we both have the same exact birthday, which is May 1, 1986.

In December of 2016, I wrote a blog post entitled “We have the exact same birthday!”  In it, I talked about me and my friend, Ryan Wolf.  I also said that we both have the exact same birthday, which is May 1, 1986.  I actually bumped into Ryan a few days before I wrote that blog post down … and it sort of inspired me to write the blog post down.  Ryan is both a terrific friend and a terrific classmate.

Here’s a link to the blog post …
We have the exact same birthday!

Joseph Is Celebrating His 2,500th Day on Facebook Today!

Now, as you probably know, a lot of TV programs like to celebrate certain milestones.  Of course, it’s not every day that you hear someone celebrate an event that I’m about to bring up in today’s blog post.  I have now been on Facebook for 2,500 days.  I first became a Facebook friend on July 18, 2011 … and two of my Facebook friends have been my friends on Facebook from the very beginning.  Those people are Frank Nicotero, who is a comedian, and Andrew Taglianetti, who used to be a Pitt Football player.  Since then, I have had nearly 550 friends on Facebook.  Of course, I’ve actually had more than 550 friends on Facebook for nearly seven years, but, of course, a few of those people have come and gone over the past 2,500 days or so.  Hopefully, I’ll have more fun on Facebook over the next 2,500 days or so.

Should Joseph buy a hoodie from Maestro’s Barber Shop?

For just over one year now, I have owned my Maestro’s Barber Shop T-shirt.  I really like this shirt a lot … and I try to wear it whenever I can.  I usually wear it whenever I go to Maestro’s Barber Shop, which is located in Bridgeville, but I don’t always wear it there.

Whenever I went there last Wednesday, I wore my Back in the ‘Burgh shirt instead.  Of course, I will wear the Maestro’s Barber Shop shirt whenever I go to the barber shop this Summer.  Of course, I may wear the Maestro’s Barber Shop to other places as well.  It all depends on my mood, of course.

Now, Maestro’s Barber Shop also has hoodies there … and, whenever I go to the barber shop again later this year, I may consider buying myself a hoodie from them.  Do you think I should get the hoodie while I’m at the barber shop?  I think I should!  I’m sure it’s a very classy hoodie.
