Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For September 2019

Can you believe it?  My blog’s sixth year is now underway … and I’ll be giving you some fantastic blog posts in the month of September.  I will give my features a break in September, but they will return in October.  So, let me tell you which blog posts I’ll be writing down in September.

I will write my 1,200th blog post in September.  It will be about one of my friends … and it will be entitled “Joseph’s 1,200th Blog Post Is Full Of Swag!”

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Has Had A Denim Jacket From Guess For One Year!”  I will talk about my denim jacket, which is from Guess.  I have owned it for almost one year.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Seeing clouds in my neighborhood.”  For several weeks, I snapped some photos of the clouds that were in the skies above National Hill.  You’ll see them in a blog in September.  The clouds may surprise you.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Say hello to the barbers of Fella’s Barbershop!”  I will tlak about the barbers who work at Fella’s Barbershop … and they are Adam Stoffella and Hunter Dorazio.  There is also a third barber at that barber shop, but the third barber was not there whenever I went to Fella’s Barbershop a few weeks ago.

I will give my computer a break for a few days in September.  I’ll be doing that from 7 p.m. on Friday, September 6th, until 5 a.m. on Sunday, September 15th.  I will give you two blog posts that week.  On September 8th, I will write a post entitled “Thank you for following my blog for over 5 years!”  I will be thanking the people who have been following my blog for at least five years in this blog post.  Then, on Thursday, September 12th, I will write a blog post entitled “Thank you for following my blog for three to five years!”  In this post, I will thank the people who have followed my blog for three to five years.

I hope you will check out at least one of my blog posts in September.  They may look interesting to you.

Joseph Visits Kennywood On KDKA Summerblast Day (Part 2)

Yesterday, in the first part of this two-part blog post, I told you about my trip to Kennywood by describing the day in general.  In it, I told you about the clouds that I saw in the skies above the amusement park, I told you about the friends that I met while I was there and I told you about the station’s Mobile Weather Lab.  Now, today, in the second part of this two-part blog post, I’m going to tell you about some of the personalities that I met while I was at Kennywood Park.  One of them recently retired from KDKA after working there for 37 years … and I will tell you which one it is before I end the two-part blog post.  So, without further ado, let me show you the personalities that I met while I was at Kennywood back on July 26th.

On July 26, 2019, I met KDKA anchor Susan Koeppen while I was at Kennywood Park. Susan anchors KDKA’s afternoon and evening newscasts during the week.

The first personality I bumped into while I was at Kennywood was Susan Koeppen.  Susan anchors the 4:00 and 6:00 newscasts with Stacy Smith … and she anchors the 11:00 newscast with Ken Rice.  She does this during the week.

On July 26, 2019, I also met Lisa Washington and Amy Wadas while I was at Kennywood Park. Both Lisa and Amy are reporters at KDKA … and, just last month, Lisa became the anchor of KDKA’s weekend morning newscasts.

I also met Meghan Schiller, who is a reporter for KDKA, while I was at Kennywood Park on July 26, 2019.

I also bumped into three of KDKA’s reporters while I was there.  They are Lisa Washington, Amy Wadas and Meghan Schiller.  Now, Lisa, Amy and Meghan are some of KDKA’s reporters … and, just last month, Lisa became the anchor of KDKA’s weekend morning newscasts.

Before I tell you which KDKA personality retired after working there for 37 years, I’d like to give you a fun fact.  Just last month, KDKA added a regular Sunday morning newscast for the first time in the station’s history.  It airs from 7 until 9 on Sunday mornings.

Now, I’d like you to see the personality who retired recently after working at KDKA for 37 years.

On July 26, 2019, I met Jon Burnett while I was at Kennywood Park. Jon retired from KDKA back in June after working there for 37 years. He was the weatherman there for a number of years … and, before that, he did “Pittsburgh 2Day” and “Evening Magazine.” He also co-hosted “Pittsburgh Today Live” in recent years.

I was able to meet Jon Burnett while I was at Kennywood Park.  He retired from KDKA after working there for 37 years.  He did “Evening Magazine” and “Pittsburgh 2Day” before he became a weatherman for KDKA.  He also did “Pittsburgh Today Live” for a while in recent years.

I hope you guys were able to enjoy this two-part blog post as much as I enjoyed it.  I really enjoyed myself at Kennywood during KDKA Summerblast Day.  I did see some other KDKA personalities while I was at Kennywood, but I did not want to disturb them since they were fairly busy.

Enjoy the rest of your day, my friends!

Joseph Visits Kennywood On KDKA Summerblast Day (Part 1)

This week, I’m going to write a two-part blog post for you guys … and, this time, I’m going to talk about my trip to Kennywood, which occurred one month ago.  I went to Kennywood with my relatives for just over seven hours on July 26, 2019.  I went there on KDKA Summerblast Day … and I was able to see several of KDKA’s personalities while I was there.  I will talk about the personalities that I met there in the second part of this blog post, but, today, in the first part of this post, I will just talk about that exciting day in general.

On July 26, 2019, I went to Kennywood Park on KDKA Summerblast Day. I was there for seven hours that day. Both KDKA and Pittsburgh CW were there, but there were mainly KDKA personalities at the event.

I was at Kennywood Park from 12:30 in the afternoon until around 7:30 in the evening on July 26, 2019.  I was able to enjoy myself while I was at the park.  I went there with some of my relatives … and I was able to ride on the train, which is now part of Thomas Town.  Thomas Town is an attraction in Kennywood that features things from Thomas The Tank Engine.  Now, the train was the only thing that I rode on while I was there.  I just walked around the park and saw lots of exciting things while I was at Kennywood.

Now, while I’m talking about Thomas Town, I was able to see KDKA’s Mobile Weather Lab, which is located near Thomas Town.  I also snapped a selfie with the Mobile Weather Lab while I was there.  Now, KDKA sometimes uses the Mobile Weather Lab during its newscasts … and they generally use it a lot whenever we have bad weather events, like snow storms and things like that.

I saw some nice-looking clouds in the skies above Kennywood while I was there.  The clouds here are white, dark and grey … and I also saw some “blue holes” in the clouds as well.

While I was at Kennywood Park that evening, I bumped into three of my friends … and one of them is one of my neighbors on National Hill.  I bumped into Karen, Josh and Amanda Schultz while I was at Kennywood.  I sometimes see Josh and Amanda on National Hill … and Karen is one of my neighbors on National Hill.

Next time, I will wrap up this two-part blog post by telling you about some of the personalities that I saw while I was at Kennywood Park on July 26, 2019.  I will give you a hint right now.  One of them recently retired after working at KDKA for 37 years.

“Mr. Classy” is getting another makeover!

My blog’s sixth year begins today … and, as we begin another year of my blog, I would like to tell you about a jacket that I purchased at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx recently.  I purchased it on August 16, 2019.  The jacket is a light wash denim jacket … and it’s from Brooklyn Cloth Company.

Now, I will give you a little surprise at the end of this blog post, but, first, let me tell you about my new denim jacket.

IMG_20190816_175038438
On August 16, 2019, I purchased this light wash denim jacket, which is from Brooklyn Cloth Company. The jacket is very classy.

The jacket is full of class … and there are six buttons on the jacket.  There are also two front pockets, which has one button on each of the pockets … and there are buttons on each of the jacket’s sleeves.  Now, the jacket is a little bit distressed, but I’m actually okay with that.

Now, I’d like to show you the back of my new denim jacket.  It looks pretty nice, to say the least.  If you look closely, you can see two buttons on the bottom of the back part of this jacket.

Here’s the back of my new denim jacket. There are two buttons on the bottom of the back part of the jacket.

All in all, this denim jacket, which is from Brooklyn Cloth Company, is very classy … and I plan on wearing it as often as possible this Fall.  I hope you guys like this jacket as much as I do.  If you like it, you can buy it at either T.J. Maxx or Marshall’s … or you can also buy it online.

Now, this jacket will turn me into “Mr. Classy” in the future.  I will still become “Mr. Classy” whenever I wear my grey Michael Kors jacket, my black leather jacket from Vintage Leather or my grey half-zip Nike pullover.

“Joseph Pratt’s Interests And Some Other Things” Is Five Years Old Today!

Today is a very big day for this blog, which is called “Joseph Pratt’s Interests And Some Other Things.”  This blog is now officially five years old.  It seems like this blog started yesterday … and you have made it grow up into the blog it is today.

“Joseph Pratt’s Interests And Some Other Things” is five years old today! The blog started on August 24, 2014.
Thank you for allowing my blog to become a classy blog over the past five years.

Since I started my blog five years ago, I have written nearly 1,200 posts on here … and I will write more blog posts for you guys for as long as I am able to do so.  I probably won’t do this forever, but who knows?

I have 180 followers on my blog … and I would like to thank them for following my blog regularly.  Some of them do it here on WordPress.com … and some of them do it via e-mail.  I don’t have time to thank all of my blog’s followers today, so I will do my best to thank them in several of my blog posts throughout my blog’s sixth year.

All in all, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to give you some fantastic blog posts over the past five years.  You have been able to help me let it grow gracefully from a simple blog to a very classy blog.  I have talked about some very interesting things in my posts … and my mission is to keep the people who check out my blog regularly both informed and entertained.  I will continue to do just that in the future.

Now, tomorrow, I will begin my blog’s sixth year … and I already have some topics to begin a new year of this blog with.  I can’t tell you what I’ll be talking about in the posts yet.  I will give you some great blog posts in the coming days.

Now, for the last time, I will give you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around a certain date in previous years.  I was able to do it in all of my blog posts throughout my blog’s fifth year.  Now that my blog’s fifth year is coming to an end, I won’t be doing this for you guys anymore.

In honor of my blog’s fifth year, which ends today, I would like to give you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around August 24th in previous years …

I like it whenever you guys talk to me on my blog posts regularly … and I also like it whenever you guys leave me at least one comment on my posts regularly.

Over the past five years, I have received 1,695 comments on my blog posts.  I did it the most times with 63 comments.

Eight people commented on a blog post entitled “Remembering Joseph’s Battle With Lyme Disease One Year Later” since I wrote it in June of 2017.

Next time, I will celebrate my blog’s fifth anniversary by writing a big blog post for you guys.  I will give my blog a break tomorrow … and, then, on Saturday, I will celebrate my blog’s fifth anniversary with you guys.  I will celebrate it at home on Saturday morning … and I will celebrate it at Fairview Park that afternoon.

Celebrating My Blog’s Fifth Year: My Blog’s Best Month Ever

May 2019 is my blog’s best month ever.  It was seen by various people, including myself, 238 times back then.

People say my blog’s home page 32 times in May of 2019 … and they saw my blog posts 206 times in that month.  The posts were all seen less than 10 times in a single month by various people.  That’s how May 2019 became my blog’s best month ever.

My blog crossed the 200-views mark three times during my blog’s fifth year.  At one point, December 2018 was my blog’s best month ever with 216 views.  The previous record was 167 views, which was reached in March of 2017.  The record that was reached in December of 2018 was beaten in May of 2019.

Next time, I will talk about the ways that people are able to talk to me on my blog.  Then, after that, I will write my big blog post in honor of my blog’s fifth anniversary.  The big day will occur on Saturday.

In honor of my blog’s fifth year, I’d like to show you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around August 21st in previous years …

Celebrating My Blog’s Fifth Year: My Blog’s Best Day Ever

My blog’s best day ever is July 4, 2019.  People saw my blog 46 times on that day.  The record is still standing more than one month later.  The previous record was 43 views.  Last year, I said that there would be a new one-day record in my blog’s fifth year … and I was right about that.

On that day, people saw my blog’s home page 16 times, they saw two of my blog posts two times and they saw 10 of my blog posts once.  They saw my “About Joseph Pratt” page one.  Also … 14 images each got one view on that day.  On July 4, 2019, 2 people found my blog on Instagram, two people found it on various search engines, one person found it on Twitter and one person found it here on WordPress.com.

Next time, I will talk about my blog’s best month ever.

Celebrating My Blog’s Fifth Year: My Blog’s Best Year Ever

Today, I would like to tell you about my blog’s best year ever, as we continue to celebrate my blog’s fifth anniversary.  The year would be 2018 … and, in that year, my blog was seen by various people, including myself, 1,564 times.  How long will this record stand for?  Well, that record will likely be broken before this year is over, so that record will not stand too much longer.

In nine of those months, my blog crossed the 100-views mark.  The months are February, March, April, May, July, September October, November and December.  In three of those months, which are May, September and December, it crossed the 150-views mark.  Finally, in December, it crossed the 200-views mark in a single month for the first time ever.

Next time, I will talk about my blog’s best day ever.
