The snow is slowly melting away!

Now, last week, as we were starting the 2018 Spring season, we actually got several inches of snow!  Over the past few days or so, the snow has been melting slowly, but surely here on National Hill.

I was actually walking outdoors this afternoon … and I noticed that the people who live on Cuddy Hill don’t have any snow on the ground while we still have a lot of snow at our house.  In fact, a few houses on National Hill still have snow on their properties as well.

Today, I’d like to show you the snow that is still at our house, just days after we got a snow storm.

There is still some snow in our backyard. I’m pointing to it in this photo.
There is a lot of snow near our house! There’s also snow on the chairs that are in our backyard.

As you can see here, while many other people in our little town have almost no snow on our properties, we have a lot of snow on our property, but, of course, it will all be gone soon.  Hopefully, the snow won’t return to National Hill for a while.

The final resting places of my late pets

Yesterday, I marked the three-year anniversary of the death of my bulldog, Piglet, by showing you photos of my bulldog.  I also showed you her pink stone and her urn.

Today, I’m going to show you the final resting places of my late pets … and their names are Piglet, who was my bulldog, and Beau, who was my white shaggy dog.

First, I’m going to show you Piglet’s urn.  I also included it in a blog post that I wrote down two years ago.  It was about the first anniversary of Piglet’s death … and it was also my 350th blog post.

This is my 350th blog post … and I’m dedicating it to Piglet.

Second, I’d like to show you Beau’s final resting place.  It’s very close to our backyard.  I sometimes visit it whenever I take my walks outdoors.  I also talked about it in one of my blog posts.  I wrote it down back in September of 2016 … and it was in one of my blog’s features, which is called “Joseph’s Moment Of Peace.”

This is Beau’s grave site. Beau was a dog … and he passed away over two decades ago.

I will remember most of these dogs for a long time.  As soon as the weather starts to get warmer, I will visit their final resting places … and I will say hello to them.

Joseph’s Moment Of Peace: Joseph’s Deck

As you know, the weather is starting to get colder … and I won’t be going outdoors too much for a while.  Sure, I might go out onto our front porch on some occasions this Winter, but there’s one thing that I won’t be using this Winter … and that would be my deck.  I have a nice deck in my backyard.  I’d like to talk about it very briefly today.  It’s a relaxing place for me to go to … and it allows me to relax while I stand on it.  I really like this deck a lot.

This is Joseph’s deck. It looks fantastic.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts About Leaves

Can you believe it?  Today is August 1st … and it’s gonna feel like it today.  In just a few weeks, the leaves are gonna be changing colors … and then they’re all gonna fall down to the ground.

Now, I’m not ready to start thinking about Fall just yet, though, but I would like to tell you about three of my top blog posts, which are about leaves.

Seeing the leaves near the railroad bridge (October 10, 2016)
Which leaves are on the trees … and which ones are on the ground? (October 23, 2015)

Joseph’s Flashback: I got grass stains on my light wash jeans!

Back in June of 2014, I was sweeping some stuff off of our black plastic thing, which is located near our backyard.  I was wearing my light blue jeans from Chaps while I was working outdoors one morning.  I also got some grass stains on my jeans back then.  Those grass stains are long gone now.  I will remember that moment for a long time.

Old Man Winter has returned to our property!

On February 9, 2017, Old Man Winter returned to our property.

This Winter, we haven’t been able to see the snow for long periods of time … and, this morning, Old Man Winter was able to give us some snow.  Our property is once again covered with snow … and in just about two or three days, it will disappear as quickly as it arrived.

Winter doesn’t end until next month, so maybe Old Man Winter will come back to our property again sometime soon.

A frosty morning

This morning, while I was walking around my property, I noticed that there was a lot of frost on our property.  It was a chilly and a frosty morning here on our property … and just moments after I took the pictures of our frosty property, the frost began to melt away … and the temperatures began to rise very rapidly.

First, I wanted to show you our frosty backyard.  My shadow is also in the picture.

There was a lot of frost in our backyard back on March 7, 2016.

We also had a lot of snow on our front porch.

We also had frost on our front porch back on March 7, 2016.

I guess you could say we had a “frosty morning” here at our house!

Say hello to Old Man Winter … again!

It seems like Old Man Winter just can’t stay on National Hill for long periods of time this Winter, but maybe this time around, he can stay here for a fairly long period of time.  It’s gonna be cold and snowy this Valentine’s Day weekend, so it looks like Old Man Winter will be here for a while.  Earlier this week, he gave us some more snow, but he didn’t completely cover up our backyard with snow.

On February 9, 2016, Old Man Winter put some snow on the ground in our backyard. At least he didn’t cover it up completely. Some grass is still showing in our backyard … and I’m pointing to two parts of our backyard … and those parts were still showing some grass whenever I was taking this picture.

I also took a picture of our snow-covered stairs.  One of my relatives swept the snow off of the stairs just hours after I took the picture, which can be seen below this part of this blog post.

There was snow on our stairs whenever I took this picture.

As we move towards the Valentines Day weekend, make sure that you bundle up and remain safe whenever you go outdoors.

Say hello to Old Man Winter (Part 3)

As we wrap up this three-part blog post, I’d like to talk about the brief return of our snow-covered swing set.

On January 23, 2016, our snow-covered swing set made a brief return to our backyard!

I am happy to announce that since I took this picture of our snow-covered swing set, we took part of the swing set down and we put it in our garage for the next few weeks.

In fact, just 10 days ago, I wrote a blog post about our snow-covered swing set.  If you’d like to see it, please click on this link here …
Our snow-covered swing set

I hope you liked this three-part blog post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I will be taking a break from writing my blog posts for a while, but don’t worry.  I already wrote some blog posts in advance … and they will pop up automatically on my blog’s website on their respective days.  On January 31st and on February 7th, the blog posts, which are part of my “Joseph’s Road To His 30th Birthday” series, will pop up on their respective days.  On February 3rd, my blog post, which will pop-up on that day, will talk about the features that I rejected from my blog.  Enjoy your day, everybody!
