Mr. Classy’s failed “stand-ins”

These people didn’t really fail when they were trying out to become one of Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins.”  They just turned down their chances to become one of his “stand-ins.”  “Mr. Classy” almost always wears the grey Michael Kors jacket … and, back in 2016, he allowed two people to have the chance to become one of Mr. Classy’s “stand-ins.”

First, in September of 2016, I turned my friend, Joe Cohen, into one of Mr. Classy’s “assistants” while I was at Bee’z Bistro and Pub one evening.  He did a fantastic job as one of his possible “stand-ins,” but he turned down the chance to become Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-in.”

Joseph and DJ Joe wore the grey Michael Kors jackets to Bee’z Bistro and Pub in September of 2016.  He turned down the chance to be one of Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins,” but he still did a fantastic job in being his “stand-in” for one evening.

Second, Bryan Gogarty, who worked with me at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx during the 2016 Holiday season, was able to turn into one of Mr. Classy’s possible “stand-ins” while we were in the store’s break room.  He did a fantastic job on the day that we wore the jackets, but he turned down the chance to be one of Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins.”

Both Joe Cohen and Bryan Gogarty did a fantastic job in trying to be Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins,” but they turned down their chances to do just that.  Two of my friends have been able to be Mr. Classy’s “stand-ins” over the past two years … and they are Jonathan Reed and Tim Smith.

Will “Mr. Classy” have another “stand-in” in the future?  Maybe.  Stay tuned…

I have owned my grey Michael Kors jacket for three years now!

Three years ago today, I purchased my grey Michael Kors jacket at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx.  I really like this jacket … and I would like to say that this jacket is my favorite jacket ever.  Several days later, I would start turning into “Mr. Classy” whenever I would wear the jacket.  The jacket is full of class, of course, and I will be wearing it many times in 2019, if I’m up to it.

Next time, I will talk about Mr. Classy’s two “stand-ins” … and I will also talk about the people who turned down their chances to be Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins.”  They still did a fantastic job, though.

My walking schedule will change in 2019!

As you know, I am no longer taking my evening walks around National Hill.  I was able to walk around the neighborhood on Sunday afternoon since it was warm and sunny outside.  I know it’s early December, but I just had to do that.  Well, anyway, I will be walking around National Hill several times in 2019 … and I will be changing my walking schedule considerably, so that I do not disturb my friends and neighbors too much.

Here’s my walking schedule for 2019 …

Weekdays: Walk anytime between 9:00 in the morning and 12:30 in the afternoon
Weekends: Walk anytime between 7:30 in the morning and 5:00 in the afternoon

I hope you like this new schedule.  I have some terrific friends and neighbors on National Hill … and I’d like to keep it that way for a long time.

How should I use my flat pillow?

One year ago, I stopped sleeping with my flat pillow because it was starting to get very flat.  I would start using My Pillow nightly a few days later.  Well, anyway, my flat pillow has a striped pillowcase on it.  There are red, brown and white stripes on the pillowcase.  I didn’t stop using my flat pillow completely after I took it off my bed one final time.  I would take it in some rooms in my house … and I also put it behind my head whenever I would mediate with the calm.com app.  I would also hug my flat pillow on a daily basis.  With that in mind, let me ask you this question … how should I use my flat pillow?  Leave me a comment below this post, if you have suggestions for me.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For December 2018

The year 2018 is almost over, if you can believe that.  In just a few weeks, we will start the year 2019.  I will give my features another break in December, but I will bring them back in the new year.  Today, I’d like to tell you about the top blog posts for December 2018.

One of my blog posts will be entitled “We’ve owned our red truck for five years!”  We first purchased our red Chevrolet truck in December of 2013.  It replaced our blue Chevrolet truck, which was at our house from October of 1990 until September of 2013.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “I have owned my Motorola smartphone for one year!”  I will talk about my phone, which I have owned for almost one year now.  It says “Hello Moto!” sometimes.  It usually does that whenever someone is trying to call me on it.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “2018 is my blog’s best year yet!”  My blog has now been seen more than 1,300 times this year … and the number will rise before the year is over.  It will probably cross the 1400-views mark at some point in December.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph Has Had A Cardigan Sweater For One Year!”  I will tell you about my grey cardigan sweater, which I purchased at Sears almost one year ago.  It is very classy.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Weekends Are Full Of Class!”  I will talk about some classy TV personalities, who generally appear on Pittsburgh’s TV stations on weekends.  Some of them are anchors … and some of them are reporters.  Some of these people may surprise you a little bit.

At around Christmas time, I will write a two-part blog post for you guys.  It will be entitled “Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For 2018.”  I will tell you about the year’s top blog posts in the two-part blog post.

I will write my 1,025th blog post down in December.  It could be about anything.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Good-bye, Sally Wiggin.”  She is retiring from WTAE this week … and I will talk about meeting her at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, which is located in Downtown Pittsburgh.  I did it in the late 2000s.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Christmas Presents For 2018.”  I will talk about my Christmas presents in the blog post in December … and I will turn a few of my presents into blog posts in January.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Nike Air Jacket.”  I will talk about the classy item in a blog post in December.

I hope you will check out my posts on my blog in December.  Thank you for checking out my blog in 2018 … and I hope you will continue to check out my blog in 2019.

Enjoy your day!

A funny thing happened to me on the way to T.J. Maxx on Black Friday!

This past Friday, I worked at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx on Black Friday.  Now, for the past few weeks, me and my mother have been going to Big Lots in Great Southern Shopping Center before I went over to T.J. Maxx to work.  This past Friday was no exception, of course.  It was just a normal day.  While I was there, a Big Lots customer saw my store’s name tag and ask me where something was.  Obviously, she asked me that question in the wrong store!  Luckily, I handled that situation well.  It went fairly well.

Joseph’s 1,000th Blog Post

Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is it.  Today is a big day for me and for my blog.  I am writing my 1,000th blog post on my blog … and, as I’ve been saying for weeks now, it could be about a person, a place or a thing.  Well, after giving this a lot of thought. I’ve decided that my 1,000th blog post will be about a person.

This is Joseph’s 1,000th blog post. He has this sign to prove it.

My 1,000th blog post will be about a classy friend of mine … and this friend is cool, casual and classy in many ways.  The person’s name is Justin McKean.  I first became friends with him while I was at South Fayette High School back on January 23, 2007.  He was one of the three substitute teachers that I had while I was at the school back then.  For nearly 12 years now, Justin has been a terrific friend of mine … and I bumped into him several times since then.  I bumped into him at McSummerfest in July of 2016.  He’s able to be cool, casual and classy on so many levels … and I often get my fashion and wardrobe ideas from him.  Thank you, Justin, for being a terrific friend of mine … and thank you for allowing me to talk about you in my 1,000th blog post.
