Joseph Wants To Switch Dentists In The Future

Last month, I went to Katsur Dental in Collier Towne Square for the first time since the Spring of 2018.  Now, I have been going there for the past few years now.  Before it moved to Collier Towne Square, it was in Raceway Plaza.  I also went there when it was in Raceway Plaza.  The building that once housed it is located near Wal-Mart … and, believe it or not, it is still standing there today, years after it left Raceway Plaza.  Before that, I went to Dr. William Syling’s office, which was located in Presto.  I also went to his old office in Great Southern Shopping Center years ago before he moved to Presto.  Dr. Syling’s old office was located close to where L.A. Fitness is now.  Years earlier, I went to a now-closed dentist’s office on Route 60 in Robinson Township.  Rita’s Italian Ice is there now.

Now, this Tuesday morning at 10:00, I will get two more of my upper teeth removed at the oral surgeon’s office in Peters Township … and I will be getting partial dentures not long after that.  Now, after I get two more of my teeth removed, I may consider switching dentists in the future.  I kind of want to go to the dentist that is somewhat caring and is able to listen to my needs in a friendly manner.  Now, I would like to go to either DiBartola Dental in South Fayette or Progressive Dental Solutions in Peters Township.  I would also like to go to a dentist’s office that has flat-screen TVs in the exam rooms.  This way, I can watch CNN or a similar channel in the office while I’m getting work done.  Of course, you never know which dentist I will be going to in the future.

Now, if I do need partial dentures in the future, I want flexible partial dentures.  This way, the dentures can just blend in with my upper teeth.  If I can’t find a dentist who will be able to give me flexible partial dentures in the future, I will find a dentist who can do just that.

Enjoy your day, my friends!

Joseph Has A Question For You: Which one of these four items look the classiest on “Mr. Classy?”

For nearly four years now, “Mr. Classy” has been able to keep his friends and his “fans” as classy as possible with fashion tips and ways to incorporate more manners into their lives.  Well, in today’s blog post, “Mr. Classy” is turning the tables.  He wants you to give him a fashion tip or two.  He has four jackets … and they are the grey Michael Kors jacket, the light wash denim jacket from Brooklyn Cloth Company, the black leather jacket from Vintage Leather and the grey Nike half-zip pullover.

So, here is my question … which one of these four items look the classiest on “Mr. Classy?”

Joseph Goes To The Oral Surgeon’s Office

In September of 2015, I visited the oral surgeon’s office in Peters Township, which is in Washington County, for the first time.  Four of the doctors who work there have the last name of Pasqual … and they also have at least one fantastic nurse there.  I would actually be getting my wisdom teeth removed … and I would also get an extra bad tooth or two removed as well while I was there.  When I went there the first time, that didn’t happen.  I accidentally said that I would get my wisdom teeth removed in September of 2015, but it didn’t really happen … and I also apologized for giving out the wrong information.  When I went there a second time nearly a month later, they actually removed one or two bad teeth and my wisdom teeth.  It went very well … and I recovered from it completely just days later.

Now, on Halloween in 2019, I went to that same oral surgeon’s office again … and, believe it or not, they remember me fairly well.  Now, just like last time, I had a “consultation appointment” while I was there the first time around.  I didn’t want to give out the wrong information this time like I did last time.  Next Tuesday, I will be getting two more bad teeth removed.  They’re my upper teeth.  Hopefully the procedure will go well whenever I’m there next week.  As we get closer to that big day, I would like all of you to keep me in your thoughts and in your prayers as much as possible.  I plan on recovering from my surgery after I leave the oral surgeon’s office … and I will talk about the experience in a blog post next month.  Wish me luck!

Is 4:30 a.m. too early to watch a newscast?

Since July of 1982, Pittsburgh has had a morning newscast of some kind on at least one of its TV stations.  Now, these are the newscasts that air before the network’s morning programs air.  Newscasts would air at various times between 4:30 and 7 in the morning … and they would air for either one hour, 90 minutes, two hours or 2 1/2 hours.

WTAE gave us Pittsburgh’s first early morning newscast in ’82, but they aired it in two 15-minute blocks.  They aired at 6:15 and 6:45 in the morning … and they were shown during ABC’s “World News This Morning.”  WPXI gave us our city’s first complete 30-minute newscast in October of 1986.  It aired from 6:30 until 7 in the morning back then.  KDKA would start an early morning newscast of its own in 1990 … and it was one hour long.  It aired from 6 until 7 in the morning.

Nowadays, all three of our local stations start their early morning newscasts at or around 4:30 on weekday mornings.  The 4:30 a.m. newscast first came to Pittsburgh in 2010.  In my opinion, I think it might be too early to watch a newscast at that time.  Then again, I’m always up just before that time … and I may watch bits and pieces of an early morning newscast on one of our local stations, if I’m up to it.

I hope you enjoyed my little history lesson in today’s blog post.  Pittsburgh has had early morning newscasts in one form or another for more than 37 years now.  So, maybe I will watch a morning newscast whenever I wake up tomorrow morning.

7,000 Views And Counting

On November 11, 2019, my blog reached another milestone.  It is the first of two milestones that my blog will reach this month.  Yesterday afternoon, my blog crossed the 7,000-views mark overall.  It missed it by one yesterday morning, when it had 6,999 views.  It surpassed it by one yesterday afternoon, when it had 7,001 views.  Thank you all for allowing my blog to hit the 7,000-views mark overall … and, later this month, it will cross the 2,000-views mark in 2019.  This will be the first year in which my blog has been seen 2,000 times or more by various people in a single year.  I will write a blog post about the event when that does occur.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts About Brady The Bulldog

For just over seven months, Brady has been in our house.  I have written a few blog posts about him since then, but today, I would like to talk about two of my top blog posts, which are about Brady.

One of my posts is entitled “Meet Our New Bulldog, Brady,” which was written by me on April 2, 2019.  I wrote it just days after Brady first came into our house.  Here is a link to it …
Meet Our New Bulldog, Brady (April 2, 2019)

On October 22, 2019, I wrote a blog post in one of my features, which is called “Joseph Has A Question For You.”  In the post, I asked you if Brady should wear a costume on Halloween?  Now, Brady was originally supposed to be a Smurf, but, sadly, he chose not to wear the costume.  I also gave you some other choices, like pumpkins, avocados and unicorns.  Here is a link to the blog post …
Joseph Has A Question For You: Should Brady dress up on Halloween? (October 22, 2019)

Brady is, by far, one of the best pets we have ever owned.  I hope you guys still like him as much as we do.

On March 30, 2019, Brady, who is a male brown and white English bulldog, came to our house. The bulldog is from Ohio … and he’s three months old. He is full of class.

Good Luck, Roger Huston

On June 28, 1963, The Meadows Racetrack first opened up for business in North Strabane Township, which is in Washington County.  Nearly 13 years later, a man named Roger Huston started calling races there for the first time.  Over the years, I would watch him call the races on the Meadows Racing Network, which has aired on various TV and cable stations here in Pittsburgh over the years.  Now, over the weekend, Roger called his last race at The Meadows.  I may have heard him call a race or two at The Meadows Racetrack itself over the years.  I actually did it on a Saturday afternoon not too long ago.  I was actually sitting in the food court at the time.  I actually heard his voice over the loudspeakers while I was at the food court.  Roger did a fantastic job in calling the races that I was able to see while I was there that afternoon.

Now, back in July, while I was at The Meadows Casino on a Tuesday morning, I was able to walk downstairs and see some of the exhibits that are there.  They can be found near Meadows Lanes, which is their bowling alley.  While I was downstairs that morning, I saw Roger Huston not once, but twice.  That moment really made my day.

The Meadows Racetrack won’t be the same without Roger.  He was able to give us some class for more than 43 years.  Good luck, Roger Huston!

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For November 2019

The month of November is almost here … and, in just over two months, the year 2019 will end … and the year 2020 will begin.  Well, today, I’d like to tell you about the posts that I’ll be writing down in November 2019.  Now, in November, two important milestones will occur … and I will talk about them in two of my blog posts as soon as they happen.  My blog will hit the 7,000-views mark next month … and, as soon as it happens, I will write a blog post entitled “7,000 Views And Counting.”  Now, my blog may reach the 2,000-views mark in 2019 … and it could happen as early as November.  Whenever that happens, I will write a blog post entitled “My Blog Was Seen 2,000 Times In 2019!”

Let me tell you about some of the other blog posts that I’ll be writing down in November of 2019.  One of my blog posts will be entitled “I have owned a classy leather jacket for two years!”  I will talk about my black leather jacket, which is from Vintage Leather.  I bought it on nearly two years ago.  The jacket is cool, casual and classy.

I will write my 1,250th blog post in November.  It could be about a person, a place or a thing.  You can start making your guesses while you read the post that I’m writing down today.  I plan on writing my 1,250th blog post on or around Thanksgiving.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “‘Mr. Classy’ and his ‘stand-in’ now have extra class!”  As you know, “Mr. Classy” and his “stand-in” both have the grey Michael Kors jacket, but they may soon have the light wash denim jackets, which are from Brooklyn Cloth Company.  The jackets will give them both extra class in the future.  If we are unable to have matching denim jackets on or around Thanksgiving, I will write a back-up blog post instead.

I will also use my blog’s features in November.  The topics that I have for you guys this time may amaze you.  Let me tell you how I’ll be using them this time.

I hope you will check out at least one of my blog posts in November.  They may look interesting to you.

Now, I will also get some dental work done at the end of November, so it may affect my blogging schedule a little bit by then.  Thank you in advance for your understanding in this manner.

Do these gloves keep my hands soft overnight?

Now, if you have cracked, dry hands, you would try anything to make them feel soft and moist again.  That happens to me a lot.  I have a lot of hand creams at home … and some of them are from Burt’s Bees.  They work fairly well, but there’s another product that I use in order to keep my hands soft and moist … and I use it while I’m sleeping at night.  The item is actually a pair of gloves, which is from Burt’s Bees.

Now, before you put the gloves on, you would put some Burt’s Bees cream on your hands … and then you would put the gloves on over the hands.  You would wear them all night long while you sleep … and, hopefully, your hands would look fantastic by the following morning.  I use these gloves whenever they hands look rough, cracked and dry … and I kind of like these gloves a lot.  I would wear them whenever I sleep … and the gloves are working fairly well, to say the least.

On July 22, 2019, I purchased Burt’s Bees gloves at Wal-Mart. You wear them overnight while you’re sleeping. Of course, you would put Burt’s Bees hand cream on your hands before you put the gloves on. They would soften and moisten your hands if they are rough, cracked and dry.

I hope you guys like these gloves, which are from Burt’s Bees, as much as I do.  I purchased them on July 22, 2019, at Wal-Mart in Raceway Plaza.  If your hands get rough, dry and cracked as the weather starts to get a little bit cooler, make sure you buy these gloves as soon as possible.
