The Origins Of “Mr. Classy”

For the past three years now, I have been able to call myself “Mr. Classy” whenever I would wear the grey Michael Kors jacket or the black leather jacket, which is from Vintage Leather.  Like yours truly, “Mr. Classy” is an introvert also.  He likes to be alone after being out and about for hours at a time.

Well, anyway, let me tell you how I cam up with “Mr. Classy” as my current nickname.  In 2015, one of my friends, whose name is Jeff Mooney, worked with me at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx … and he would sometimes call himself “Mr. Grey.”  It was sort of named after a character in the movie “Fifty Shades Of Grey.”  That’s sort of the reason why I chose “Mr. Classy” as my current nickname.  It happened just days after I bought my grey Michael Kors jacket at T.J. Maxx.  I like the jacket so much, I wanted to create an alter ego based around the jacket.  I didn’t call myself “Mr. Classy” right away.  As we were about to start the year 2016 together, I put on the jacket, I said I was “Mr. Classy” and “Mr. Classy” was born.

These pictures of “Mr. Classy” appeared in my blog posts throughout 2018.

These pictures of “Mr. Classy” appeared on my blog throughout 2017.

These pictures of “Mr. Classy” appeared on my blog throughout 2016.

In December of 2015, I snapped these photos right after I purchased the grey Michael Kors jacket.  I wouldn’t start calling myself “Mr. Classy” until the beginning of 2016.

“Mr. Classy” has had a lot of fun over the past three years … and he has had two “stand-ins” in those three years.  The “stand-ins” have also worn the grey MK jackets.  Jonathan Reed was Mr. Classy’s original “stand-in” … and Tim Smith is his current “stand-in.”

“‘Mr. Classy’ and his ‘stand-ins” all say, ‘see you all later!'”

Thank you for allowing me to become “Mr. Classy” for the past three years.

I will be giving my computer a break from 7:00 this evening until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2nd.  I will try to give you some terrific blog posts while I give my computer a break over the next week.  Enjoy your day!

The Two “Macho Dudes” Were Back At Bee’z Recently!

Back in May of 2018, me and DJ Joe were able to wear our purple Macho Man shirts to Bee’z Bistro and Pub, which is located in South Fayette … and, this past Wednesday, we were able to wear those shirts to the restaurant again.  Yes, we wore them with class once again.

Here’s a picture of me wearing my shirt with class …

As you can see in these photos, the “macho dudes” were able to spend about two hours at Bee’z Bistro and Pub one evening.  Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Let’s Talk About A Past Blog Post: Two Macho Dudes In One Night

In May of 2018, I wrote a blog post entitled “Two Macho Dudes In One Night.”  In it, I talked about me and DJ Joe wearing our Macho Man shirts to Bee’z Bistro and Pub one evening.  DJ Joe is one of the classiest friends I have ever known … and, in this case, he inspired me to write this blog post just days after we wore the shirts to Bee’z.

Here’s a link to that blog post …

Joseph Is Still A “Macho Man” One Year Later

In December of 2017, I received my purple “Macho Man” shirt for Christmas … and I’ve worn it a few times since I got it back then.  It’s a very classy shirt.  I will try to wear the shirt many times in 2019 … and my friend, Joe Cohen, who is also called “DJ Joe,” has one as well.  We wore them to Bee’z Bistro and Pub in South Fayette in May of 2018 … and I wrote a blog post about it not long after that.  I will talk about that blog post in detail tomorrow.

Joseph has been able to wear his “Macho Man” shirt in some of his blog posts over the past year.

Next time, I will write my 1,025th blog post … and it will be about a terrific person.  It could be about you!

Mr. Classy’s failed “stand-ins”

These people didn’t really fail when they were trying out to become one of Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins.”  They just turned down their chances to become one of his “stand-ins.”  “Mr. Classy” almost always wears the grey Michael Kors jacket … and, back in 2016, he allowed two people to have the chance to become one of Mr. Classy’s “stand-ins.”

First, in September of 2016, I turned my friend, Joe Cohen, into one of Mr. Classy’s “assistants” while I was at Bee’z Bistro and Pub one evening.  He did a fantastic job as one of his possible “stand-ins,” but he turned down the chance to become Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-in.”

Second, Bryan Gogarty, who worked with me at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx during the 2016 Holiday season, was able to turn into one of Mr. Classy’s possible “stand-ins” while we were in the store’s break room.  He did a fantastic job on the day that we wore the jackets, but he turned down the chance to be one of Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins.”

Both Joe Cohen and Bryan Gogarty did a fantastic job in trying to be Mr. Classy’s regular “stand-ins,” but they turned down their chances to do just that.  Two of my friends have been able to be Mr. Classy’s “stand-ins” over the past two years … and they are Jonathan Reed and Tim Smith.

Will “Mr. Classy” have another “stand-in” in the future?  Maybe.  Stay tuned…

Joseph’s Weekends Are Full Of Class!

IMG_20181118_183221416
On November 18, 2018, Joseph was watching news anchor Paul Martino and weatherman Ray Petelin on KDKA’s Sunday evening newscast.

On November 18, 2018, I was watching KDKA’s Sunday evening newscast for about 20 minutes or so … and I saw two personalities who were classy in several ways.  They are Paul Martino, a reporter and an anchor for KDKA, and Ray Petelin, who is one of their meteorologists.  Before that, he was the weekend evening meteorologist at WTAE for seven years.  Until September of this year, they both aired on two different stations at the same time.  Now I can watch them both on the same station at the same time on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Seeing those two personalities on KDKA prompted me to write this blog post, which is about seeing TV personalities on weekends.  WPXI’s weekend newscasts are full of classy people.  Kevin Benson, who has been WPXI weekend weatherman for over 30 years, is easily one of the classiest weathermen on TV.  He appears on just about every newscast on weekends.  The station has classy weekend anchors, like Marlisa Goldsmith, who is their weekend evening anchor, and Jennifer Tomazic, who is their weekend morning anchor.  They have classy weekend reporters too, like Erin Clarke and Lori Houy.

Some of WTAE’s classiest people are on their weekend newscasts.  One of them is weekend morning weatherperson Cam Tran … and another one is Brittany Hoke, who is both a reporter and an anchor for the station.

As I said before, Paul Martino and Ray Petelin are two of KDKA’s classiest personalities … and they give KDKA’s weekend evening newscasts some class.  The station’s Saturday morning newscasts have a classy person as its anchor … and her name is Brenda Waters.  I like it whenever she needs her newscasts by saying, “Have a positive day!”

Finally, the cable news channels are full of classy people on weekends.  Some of them include Lynn Smith, who anchors “Weekend Express” on HLN, and Ana Cabrera, who anchors the weekend evening editions of “CNN Newsroom” on CNN.

I love weekends because they are almost always full of classy people to watch on television.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For December 2018

The year 2018 is almost over, if you can believe that.  In just a few weeks, we will start the year 2019.  I will give my features another break in December, but I will bring them back in the new year.  Today, I’d like to tell you about the top blog posts for December 2018.

One of my blog posts will be entitled “We’ve owned our red truck for five years!”  We first purchased our red Chevrolet truck in December of 2013.  It replaced our blue Chevrolet truck, which was at our house from October of 1990 until September of 2013.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “I have owned my Motorola smartphone for one year!”  I will talk about my phone, which I have owned for almost one year now.  It says “Hello Moto!” sometimes.  It usually does that whenever someone is trying to call me on it.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “2018 is my blog’s best year yet!”  My blog has now been seen more than 1,300 times this year … and the number will rise before the year is over.  It will probably cross the 1400-views mark at some point in December.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph Has Had A Cardigan Sweater For One Year!”  I will tell you about my grey cardigan sweater, which I purchased at Sears almost one year ago.  It is very classy.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Weekends Are Full Of Class!”  I will talk about some classy TV personalities, who generally appear on Pittsburgh’s TV stations on weekends.  Some of them are anchors … and some of them are reporters.  Some of these people may surprise you a little bit.

At around Christmas time, I will write a two-part blog post for you guys.  It will be entitled “Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For 2018.”  I will tell you about the year’s top blog posts in the two-part blog post.

I will write my 1,025th blog post down in December.  It could be about anything.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Good-bye, Sally Wiggin.”  She is retiring from WTAE this week … and I will talk about meeting her at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, which is located in Downtown Pittsburgh.  I did it in the late 2000s.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Christmas Presents For 2018.”  I will talk about my Christmas presents in the blog post in December … and I will turn a few of my presents into blog posts in January.

Another one of my posts will be entitled “Joseph’s Nike Air Jacket.”  I will talk about the classy item in a blog post in December.

I hope you will check out my posts on my blog in December.  Thank you for checking out my blog in 2018 … and I hope you will continue to check out my blog in 2019.

Enjoy your day!

Will the real “Mr. Classy” please stand up?

Sadly, “Mr. Classy” and his “stand-in” were not in the same place on Thanksgiving Day; however, they were both able to celebrate the day.

Now, as you know, they have the grey Michael Kors jackets.  One of them is “Mr. Classy” and the other one is Tim Smith, who is Mr. Classy’s “stand-in.”  Only one of these people is the real “Mr. Classy.”  So, let me ask you this question … will the real “Mr. Classy” please stand up? (The answer is under the photo.)

IMG_20180816_125018349
“Mr. Classy” and his “stand-in” were able to wear the grey MK jackets with class on August 16, 2018. As you can see here, you can wear the grey MK jackets with either jeans or shorts.

Obviously, the real “Mr. Classy” is on the left.  His “stand-in” is on the right.
