Joseph’s Moment Of Peace: Watching WQED on weekend afternoons

Since the Fall of 2018, I have been able to watch WQED on Saturday and Sunday afternoon for a few hours whenever the pledge-drive shows are not airing. I generally watch this channel in my “computer room” for three hours on some Saturdays … and I watch it for one to three hours on Sundays, depending on what kinds of shows are airing then.

It actually started on the afternoon of October 27, 2018. I was watching the Pittsburgh TV stations cover an incident, which happened at Tree Of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill that morning, and, after I had gotten tired of seeing them talking about it for a while, I switched over to WQED … and, since then, I have been able to watch the station for a while on the weekends.

Watching WQED on some weekend afternoons relaxes me, depending on which programs are airing. The programs that air on there at those times are sometimes fun to watch. It’s hard for me to pick a great show that I really like to see on there on the weekends, but, if I had to pick one, it would probably have to be “The Woodwright’s Shop,” which airs at 2:30 on some Saturday afternoons.

If you need to watch some relaxing shows on weekends, may I suggests watching WQED for a few hours on weekend afternoons? It may relax you in a big way. The channel relaxes me in a big way.

This is what Joseph did while he was off from work for three months!

Tomorrow morning, at 9:30, I will be at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville for the first time since the afternoon of March 13th.  For just over three months, I have not been able to leave my house too much, except to walk to my mailbox.  I was able to leave my house while wearing a mask on both Friday, June 12th, and Tuesday, June 16th.

As I prepare to get back to a normal routine again, I would like to show you what I did over the past three months … and I have talked about some of these events in a few of my blog posts.  So, without further ado, let me show you what I did over the past three months while I was off from work.

On March 15, 2020, there was some snow on our property. You could still see the grass on our property, but there was a decent amount of snow on the ground that morning.

On March 15, 2020, there was a lot of snow on our deck. It covered up all of the items that were on our deck that morning.

This is my red and blue Saddlebred polo shirt, which is the subject of my 1,325th blog post. The shirt is very classy … and I got it for Christmas nearly three months ago.

I really like my red and blue Saddlebred polo shirt. The shirt is very classy … and I will continue to wear it often in the future.

I have owned this plaid long-sleeve button-down shirt from Chaps for just over one year now. I bought the shirt at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville in March of 2019. The shirt has a front pocket with the Chaps logo on it … and the colors that are on the shirt are white, blue, pink and purple.

Brady has now been with us for one year now. I snapped this photo inside of our kitchen.

Brady is celebrating his first year in our house. I snapped this photo on our front porch … and, as you can see here, we are practice “Social Distancing” as I self one of the four selfies that we took today.

I have owned my grey and black Puma jacket for just over two years now. Every time I wear the jacket, it gives me extra class and extra swag.

You can zip up the Puma jacket halfway whenever you wear it. You should never zip it up the whole way. This method may come in handy if you wear it with jeans and a T-shirt.

You can also leave it unzipped if you are wearing a button-down shirt or a nice dress shirt,

On April 5, 2020, I wrote my 1,337th blog post on my blog. I didn’t know that “1,337” is a special number on this bog.

On April 8, 2020, while I was sitting in our blue living room chair for a few minutes that morning, I noticed that Brady was resting behind our chairs in the early morning hours. I was surprised to see him there whenever I was relaxing in the living room at around 4:30 in the morning.

These are my hand creams. I like them a lot … and I use them whenever my hands get dry and cracked. Some of them work better than others, but they all make my hands feel soft and smooth.

I snapped this selfie in our living room on April 12, 2020 … and I also wanted to include my Senior Class photo, which is from 2003, in the selfie. You can see it on the top right hand corner of this selfie.

These are my Easter baskets for 2020. I didn’t have a proper Easter basket this year, so I got my treats in three small red plastic bowls. The bowls have jelly beans, York peppermint patties and egg-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

On April 14, 2020, while Brady and I were in our dining room that morning, we were able to practice Social Distancing for a few short minutes. Brady likes to be close to people, but he needs to practice Social Distancing by staying at least six feet away from us for a while. It may be hard for him to do just that, though.

This is my green and yellow Brasil jacket. It was the subject of my seventh blog post, which I wrote down on September 7, 2014. My friend and cousin, Shane Trylko, also has this jacket … and our jackets are our “friendship jackets.”

On April 20, 2020, I received two interesting gifts. One is a white mask from 3M … and one is a classy blue pullover from an organization called Progressive Turnout Project.

On April 20, 2020, I was able to wear my new white 3M mask for a few short minutes. I won’t be wearing it too much since I’ll be at home quite a bit, but if the time comes for me to wear the mask, I’ll be ready. As you can see in these photos, it’s hard for me to wear this mask with my glasses. Yes, the mask covers the mouth and the nose.

On April 20, 2020, I was able to wear my new blue pullover from the Progressive Turnout Project, which is an organization that encourages people to vote in their locations.
The word “Resist” is in white, the word “Organize” is in blue and the word “Vote” is in red. The logo for Progressive Turnout Project appears underneath of those three words.

My 1,350th blog post is about my grey FILA jacket. It’s a classy jacket … and it goes nicely with blue jeans and button-down shirts. You can also wear it with white jeans, as you can see here in this photo. I bought the jacket at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville in December of 2019.

This is a close-up shot of my grey FILA jacket. The jacket is the subject of my 1,350th blog post.

On April 21, 2020, while I was staying home during the current Coronavirus Outbreak, I was able to see some clouds in the skies above South Fayette. The clouds were white, dark and grey … and I saw “blue holes” and some “grey holes” in the clouds.

On April 26, 2020, I was listening to 90.5 WESA, which is one of Pittsburgh’s three NPR stations, on my clock radio, which is in my bedroom. I asked you guys if I should do just that back in February … and I actually said I should do so.

On April 26, 2020, I snapped this selfie in front of my tall mirror. The tall mirror is by my bedroom door.

I have owned this classy Dragon Ball Z T-shirt for just over one year now.

May 4th is National Orange Juice Day. Now, on May 4, 2020, I drank a small cup of Tropicana Orange Juice in a small coffee cup. I’m drinking to drink orange juice as often as I can.

This is my new “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” T-shirt. I apologize if the photo is sideways. That’s sort of how it looked on my smartphone’s camera.

On the back of my new “Star Wars” shirt, you can see the dates that the “Star Wars” movies were first shown in theaters. This is a so-called “tour dates” shirt.

I have owned this grey Pittsburgh Penguins T-shirt for four years now. I purchased it on May 9, 2016, at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx.

For the past year now, I have owned a classy ensemble. It consists of my grey Nike half-zip pullover, my grey Chaps polo shirt, my purple crew neck T-shirt from Arizona and my dark wash jeans from Chaps.

I am wearing my grey Chaps polo shirt, my dark wash Chaps jeans and my purple crew neck T-shirt, which is from Arizona, in this photo.

In this photo, I am wearing my purple crew neck T-shirt, which is from Arizona, and my dark wash Chaps jeans.

Joseph received a black “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” T-shirt and a black Calvin Klein bomber coat for his 34th birthday.

On May 12, 2020, I wore my black “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” T-shirt, exactly one week after I got it as a late birthday present.

Here is the back of my “Star Wars” T-shirt.

My new black bomber coat, which is from Calvin Klein, has a lot of zippers and pockets on it. Here is a close-up shot of one of those zippers. This is actually a pocket with a zipper on it … and it’s hidden inside of a regular pocket.

Here is another one of the zippers that can be found on my black Calvin Klein bomber coat. This zippered pocket is hidden inside of this so-called cargo pocket. The cargo pocket is on the jacket’s left sleeve.

Here is my black bomber coat, which is from Calvin Klein. This jacket is classy … and, yes, it’s perfect for classy gentlemen like myself. Will I wear it a lot in the future? Absolutely. I won’t wear it too much at first since the weather is starting to warm up.

As you can see here, my new black Calvin Klein bomber coat is giving me class in a big way. This jacket is classy … and it’s perfect for classy gentlemen like myself.

Here is a close-up shot of my new black Calvin Klein bomber jacket.

Joseph’s blog reached the 8,000-views mark on May 14, 2020.

On May 14, 2020, my blog reached the 8,000-views mark. I am holding up the sign in this photo.

On May 18, 2020, I snapped this selfie in my “computer room,” just about four hours before I got my much-needed haircut at home.

On May 18, 2020, I got a much-needed haircut in my living room. How do you guys like this haircut?

On May 16, 2020, Brady put his head up while he was sitting right in front of the blue seat.

On May 16, 2020, Brady was sitting right in front of the blue seat, which is in our living room.

On May 16, 2020, Brady sat in the blue living room seat for a little while.

On May 20, 2020, Susan Pratt, who is my mother and is one of this blog’s followers, draw this fantastic picture of me on a block of wood.

This is my grey half-zip Columbia pullover. The color’s name is “Charcoal Heather.” The pullover is the subject of my 1,375th blog post … and it’s a classy pullover, nonetheless.

I am able to wear my grey Columbia half-zip pullover with class each and every time.

Something is different about one of our rooms (Part 2)

Have you guessed which room this hardwood floor is in? The room that the floor is in is the subject of my latest two-part blog post … and, in the first part of my two-part blog post, I showed you this hardwood floor. In the second part of the two-part blog post, I will tell you which room the floor is in.

As I wrap up the two-part blog post today, I’m going to tell you which room the hardwood floor is in. In the first part of this two-part blog post, which I wrote yesterday, I showed you the hardwood floor. Since I wrote the blog post, I gave you guys a chance to guess which room the floor is in. I gave you a hint as I wrapped up the first part of the two-part blog post. Here’s the hint … I use the room very frequently during the day.

Well, I am now allowed to tell you which room the floor is in. The room is … my “computer room!”

Over the weekend, my “computer room” got a much-needed makeover. The rug, which had been in this room for a number of years, left my “computer room” on June 13, 2020. The room now has just a hardwood floor in it.

Over the weekend, my “computer room” got a makeover. It wasn’t actually a big makeover, but it was something that had been in the works for quite some time. For a number of years, a brown rug was in this room … and now there is just a hardwood floor in this room. I hope you guys like it as much as I do. My “computer room” hasn’t changed a whole lot. It’s just that the rug is no longer in this room.

I’m still getting used to this change, but, in a way, I’m starting to like having a hardwood floor in this room. I do use my “computer room” a lot on a daily basis. It relaxes me in a big way.

Joseph used a cleaner that smelled like vinegar in his “computer room” recently!

In my last blog post, I told you guys about a product that I really like a lot. It’s called “Window Clean,” which is from L.A.’s Totally Awesome. This window cleaner is Ammonia Free and it smells like vinegar. I told you that I used it on the windows that are in our dining room and in our living room. The product smells nice, to say the least. I ended yesterday’s blog post by saying that I would clean my computer room’s windows with that cleaner at around 6:00 that evening … and I was able to keep that promise.

I was able to clean my windows with ease by using that product. It was fantastic to say the least … and most of the dust that was on my windows ended up on the paper towels that I was using while I was cleaning the windows yesterday evening. I cleaned the window that was closest to our driveway … and then I cleaned the top half of the other window that’s in my “computer room.” I finished cleaning the other window this morning. Again, the dust went on the paper towels that I was using while I was cleaning with that product.

All in all, I like L.A.’s Totally Awesome Window Clean, which smells like vinegar … and you can find it at Dollar Tree. I plan on using that product again in the future. I hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Now, I’d like to show you a photo of that product as I wrap up the blog post.

This product, which is called Window Clean, is from a company called L.A.’s Totally Awesome. The cleaner is Ammonia Free … and it smells like vinegar. Over the past few days or so, I have cleaned the windows that are in the dining room, the living room and my “computer room” with this product. I hope you guys like it … and I hope you will buy this product at Dollar Tree soon.

Joseph Is Cleaning The Windows With Vinegar!

For the past several days now, I have been able to clean a few of our windows with a window cleaner that has vinegar in it. The product is called “Window Clean” and it’s from a company called L.A.’s Totally Awesome. There is another reason why I love this product. It’s ammonia free! That means that there are no harsh chemicals in this product.

I have been able to clean our windows in our dining room and in our living room on select mornings with this product … and, one morning, I was able to clean those same windows on the outside of my house. I also cleaned our front screen door with this product as well recently. I really like this product … and I will try to use it as often as I can in the future.

At some point this evening, I will be cleaning my windows in my “computer room” with this product. I will let you know how it goes in a future blog post. This way, I can keep my promise of having “me time” while I’m in my “computer room” on weekday evenings during the 6:00 hour. I will be able to do something useful during that hour on weekday evenings, whenever I possibly can.

Happy 40th Birthday, CNN!

Today, CNN, which is the Cable News Network, is 40 years old. For the past five months or so, I have been able to watch CNN on a daily basis for several hours in a day. In fact, as I type this blog post, I am watching CNN in my “computer room.” In my house, it’s on Comcast Channel 32. I also have the CNN app … and I may watch CNN on there whenever I want to see it on my smartphone. CNN has some fantastic people and some fantastic shows on there as well.

CNN is one of my favorite cable networks ever … and I’m able to watch it as often as I can whenever I’m in my “computer room.” I’ll also watch it in either my living room or in my dining room. I’ll also see it on the CNN app or on CNN’s website … and, sometimes, I’ll watch various CNN shows on demand if I see anything interesting on there. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite show on CNN because there are lots of good shows on there, but if I had to pick one, I would probably have to say that “Erin Burnett OutFront” is my favorite CNN show. I used to watch it on demand, but now I’ll occasionally watch it at around 7:00 on weekday evenings. I probably won’t watch the whole show, but I may watch bits and pieces of it whenever I get bored.

Let me just wish CNN a happy 40th birthday today. It’s one of the best cable networks ever … and I will continue to watch it as often as I can in the future. The network is that good.

How are you guys staying safe during the Coronavirus Outbreak?

For the next several days or so, a lot of us will have to stay at home as the Coronavirus Outbreak continues.  I am staying safe by staying inside of my house as much as possible.  I will be walking to my mailbox on most of those days … and, of course, if I do go outdoors during the day, I am doing my best to stay at least six feet away from the nearest person.  Of course, I am still writing blog posts on my computer in my house’s “computer room” four to five times a week.  In fact, today, I am writing a post at home on my computer … and I would like to know how you guys are all staying safe during the Coronavirus Outbreak.

Please enjoy the rest of your day … and stay safe and stay home during the Coronavirus Outbreak.  We will do our best to get through it together.

Joseph Has A Question For You: What should Joseph do in his “computer room” in the early evening hours?

Now, the days are starting to get a little bit longer … and it may be hard for me to stay indoors after my “cut-off times,” but I’m doing a good job in doing so so far.  My outdoor “cut-off” times are 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and 5:00 p.m. on weekends.  I will try to keep myself busy in my “computer room” in the early evening hours … and I have a question about it today.

Here’s my question … what should I do in my “computer room” in the early evening hours?  I may clean a little bit and give myself “me time” while I’m in my “computer room” in the early evening hours, but you guys can give me suggestions as well.

Joseph Has A New Chair In His Computer Room!

On February 28, 2020, I said good-bye to my old chair, which was in my computer room for a few years.  It was one of the most relaxing items in my house … and, that same afternoon, I said hello to my new chair, which is from Serta.  I purchased it this past Tuesday at Wal-Mart in Washington … and I really like it a lot.  Believe it or not, I was able to try out the chair before I bought it.  They had a “sample chair” there … and I liked it so much, I decided to buy it.  The chair is very comfortable … and I hope you guys like it as much as I do.  Now, Serta is a company that makes mattresses and it also has their counting sheep in their commercials, so don’t be surprised if I just happen to fall asleep in this chair while I’m in it.
