Celebrating more than 10 years of friendship

During the second half of my blog’s fifth year, I will give you a chance to revisit some of my posts from my blog’s fifth year. Today, I will give you another chance to revisit a post from my blog’s third year. I wrote the post in January of 2007 and it’s entitled “Celebrating 10 years of friendship.”

In the blog post, I was talking about my 10-year friendship with Justin McKean. We became friends at South Fayette High School on January 23, 2007 … and he was one of the three substitute teachers that I had on that day. All three of my regular teachers were off on that day. Since then, we keep in touch with each other as often as possible. Over the past 12 years, I have talked with him in e-mails and on Social Media … and I do bump into him in person either once or twice a year, mainly at our local festivals. He is also able to be cool, casual and classy on some occasions … and, in some ways, he has inspired me to follow suit in a way. Since I wrote this blog post more than two years ago, Justin is currently not a fellow WordPress blogger like he was back in early 2017. That may change in the future. All in all, Justin is a terrific friend … and I will try to bump into him at least one time this Summer.

In honor of my blog’s fifth year, I’d like to show you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around May 17th in previous years …

Joseph Pratt's Interests And Some Other Things

Ten years ago today, I became friends with one of the coolest and classiest people that I have ever known … and his name is Justin McKean.  On that day, he was one of the three substitute teachers that I had while I went to South Fayette High School on that day.

Since January 23, 2007, Justin has been my teacher, my friend and also my fellow blogger … and we still keep in touch with each other regularly.  We also bump into each other once or twice a year at local festivals.

Back in July of 2016, I bumped into Justin at McSummerfest … and we took a selfie while we were there one evening.

0705161929_HDR On July 5, 2016, I bumped into Justin McKean at McSummerfest in McDonald, PA. We have been friends in one form or another for almost 10 years now. Since 2007, he has been my…

Joseph’s New Classy Button-Down Shirt

This past Friday, I was looking for a classy button-down shirt for myself.  It was a tough decision for me to make because I saw a lot of classy button-down shirts while I was at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx.  I wanted to buy a button-down shirt from Dockers, but, instead, I decided to buy a button-down shirt from Chaps.  Guess what?  It was a little bit classier than the Dockers shirt was … and the sleeves were rolled up just slightly on both sides.

The shirt is a plaid one … and it can be worn with either jeans, dress pants or shorts.  I will do my best to wear this shirt with all three of those items this Spring.  You can also see the Chaps logo very clearly on the front pocket.

On March 15, 2019, I purchased this plaid long-sleeved button-down shirt from Chaps. The sleeves are rolled up slightly on both sides … and it’s a very classy shirt. It can be worn with either jeans, dress pants or shorts … and, when I snapped this photo on March 18, 2019, I was wearing it with white jeans.

My new Puma T-shirt

A few days ago, I purchased a grey Puma T-shirt at T.J. Maxx.  I haven’t been able to wear the shirt … until today.  It may become one of my favorite shirts ever.

I was also able to wear it with my blue and white Puma jacket today.  I will also try to wear it with my blue and white Puma pants and my new grey Puma sweatpants at various times throughout the year.

My new bright-green pullover top from Nike

Today, I’m wearing another one of my new Christmas presents.  This time, I’m wearing my new bright green pullover top from Nike.  There’s even a hole for your thumb … and I was able to use it while I was wearing it today.

Joseph Is Cool, Casual And Classy Today!

Today, I wanted to look cool, casual and classy!

I wore my green long-sleeved button-down shirt from Arrow, my medium wash jeans from Lucky Brand and my black loafers from Dockers.  I also wore my Pirates T-shirt underneath of my button-down shirt and I wore my grey American Eagle Outfitters sweatshirt over my shirts.  I also wore my PNC hat today.

Maybe I don’t need a moniker after all!

Should I be "the cool dude?"
Should I be “the cool dude?”

I’m “the casual dude!”

Last week, I wrote a three-part blog post, which talked about me choosing a moniker for myself.  The three monikers that I wanted to pick from were … “the cool dude,” “the classy dude” and “the casual dude.”  Of course, the people who read my blog recently were also allowed to come up with ideas of their own.  I would like to thank those people for doing just that.

Well, recently, one of my Facebook friends told me that I didn’t really need a moniker after all.  I thought about that for a while … and I’ve decided that I don’t really need a moniker after all.  I’m just gonna call myself “Joseph Pratt.”  So, if I ever decide that I would like to give myself a moniker, then I will use one of those ideas again.

Joseph Needs A New Moniker (Part 1)

Later this week, I will be writing my 200th blog post here on WordPress, but before I do that, I’m going to write a three-part blog post.  This time, I’m gonna do it with a twist here.  I’m thinking about giving myself a moniker sometime in the future.  It’s hard for me to decide, though … and this is where you guys come in.  Should I call myself “the cool dude,” “the classy dude” or “the casual dude?”  Well, today, I’d like to show you me as “the cool dude.”  Do I look “cool” or what?

Should I be "the cool dude?"
Should I be “the cool dude?”

The “cool dude” is back … and he just bought some new flip flops!

The “cool dude” is back … and today, the “cool dude,” which is yours truly, of course, wants to tell you something. I bought some new flip flops at T.J. Maxx yesterday afternoon. I like them a lot … and I plan on wearing them many times this summer. I’ll either wear them with socks … or without socks. It depends on my mood, of course. Well, that’s all I have to say for today.
