Seeing clouds in my neighborhood

As you probably know, I like seeing some nice-looking clouds in the skies about both Cuddy and National Hill.  If the clouds look really neat, I will snap a photo or two, if I’m able to do so.

Now, from July 17th until August 28th, I was able to snap some photos of the clouds that were in the skies above the two tiny towns … and the clouds were white, grey and dark … and they sometimes had either “blue holes” or “grey holes” in the clouds.

I snapped a picture of the clouds that were in the skies on July 17th.  The clouds were white, dark and grey … and the clouds had “grey holes” and “blue holes” in them.

I snapped five photos of the clouds that were in the skies on July 24th.  The clouds here were white, grey and dark grey … and I saw some “blue holes” in some of the clouds that day.

I snapped two photos of the clouds that were in the skies on July 30th.  The clouds here were white and grey … and I saw some “blue holes” in some of the clouds.  I also saw little grey clouds inside of the white clouds that day.

I snapped two photos of the clouds that were in the skies on July 31st.  The clouds were white and grey … and I saw some “grey holes” in the clouds that day.

I snapped two photos of the clouds that were in the skies on August 2nd.  The clouds were white, grey, dark grey and just dark.  I saw “grey holes” and “blue holes” in the clouds … and I saw a little dark cloud inside of a white cloud on that day.

I snapped three photos of the clouds that were in the skies on August 7th.  The clouds were white, grey, dark grey and dark.  I saw mainly “grey holes” in some of these clouds that day.

I snapped three photos of the clouds that were in the skies on August 8th.  The clouds were white, grey, dark grey and dark … and I saw some “blue holes” in some of the clouds on that day.

I snapped four photos of the clouds that were in the skies on August 28th.  The clouds were white, grey and dark grey.  I saw a lot of “blue holes” in the clouds on that day.

I hope you guys liked seeing the clouds that were in the skies above National Hill and Cuddy as much as I did.  I apologize if this post is somewhat long, but I wanted to show you the clouds that I saw over the Summer.  I was busy celebrating my blog’s fifth anniversary from late July until late August.  That’s why I wasn’t able to show you these clouds until today.  Thank you for your understanding.

Joseph Visits Kennywood On KDKA Summerblast Day (Part 1)

This week, I’m going to write a two-part blog post for you guys … and, this time, I’m going to talk about my trip to Kennywood, which occurred one month ago.  I went to Kennywood with my relatives for just over seven hours on July 26, 2019.  I went there on KDKA Summerblast Day … and I was able to see several of KDKA’s personalities while I was there.  I will talk about the personalities that I met there in the second part of this blog post, but, today, in the first part of this post, I will just talk about that exciting day in general.

On July 26, 2019, I went to Kennywood Park on KDKA Summerblast Day. I was there for seven hours that day. Both KDKA and Pittsburgh CW were there, but there were mainly KDKA personalities at the event.

I was at Kennywood Park from 12:30 in the afternoon until around 7:30 in the evening on July 26, 2019.  I was able to enjoy myself while I was at the park.  I went there with some of my relatives … and I was able to ride on the train, which is now part of Thomas Town.  Thomas Town is an attraction in Kennywood that features things from Thomas The Tank Engine.  Now, the train was the only thing that I rode on while I was there.  I just walked around the park and saw lots of exciting things while I was at Kennywood.

Now, while I’m talking about Thomas Town, I was able to see KDKA’s Mobile Weather Lab, which is located near Thomas Town.  I also snapped a selfie with the Mobile Weather Lab while I was there.  Now, KDKA sometimes uses the Mobile Weather Lab during its newscasts … and they generally use it a lot whenever we have bad weather events, like snow storms and things like that.

I saw some nice-looking clouds in the skies above Kennywood while I was there.  The clouds here are white, dark and grey … and I also saw some “blue holes” in the clouds as well.

While I was at Kennywood Park that evening, I bumped into three of my friends … and one of them is one of my neighbors on National Hill.  I bumped into Karen, Josh and Amanda Schultz while I was at Kennywood.  I sometimes see Josh and Amanda on National Hill … and Karen is one of my neighbors on National Hill.

Next time, I will wrap up this two-part blog post by telling you about some of the personalities that I saw while I was at Kennywood Park on July 26, 2019.  I will give you a hint right now.  One of them recently retired after working at KDKA for 37 years.

I have some more pictures of the clouds!

Happy Fourth of July, my friends!  I’d like to talk about some of the clouds that I saw over the past several weeks or so.  Now, in May, I snapped two photos of the clouds while I was walking around National Hill one afternoon.  I zoomed in on the clouds so that you can see them clearly.

Now, on June 19, 2019, I snapped a photo of some clouds, which were in the skies above Cuddy and National Hill.  The clouds are mostly grey, but some clouds were white and some clouds were dark as well.

On June 25, 2019, I snapped two photos of the clouds that were in the skies above Cuddy and National Hill.  The clouds were white, dark and grey … and there may have been at least one “blue hole” inside of the clouds whenever I snapped the photos that day.

On June 28, 2019, I snapped five photos of some clouds.  After I left work that afternoon, I snapped two photos of the clouds that were in the skies above Collier Township … and, then, that evening, I snapped three photos of the clouds that were in the skies above National Hill while I was taking my walk.  In the five photos that I took that day, the clouds were white, dark and grey … and there may have been at least one “blue hole” in the clouds that day.

I saw more clouds and more blue holes recently!

Happy Easter, my friends!  Today, I’d like to talk about the clouds that I saw in the skies above both Cuddy and National Hill earlier this month … and I would like to talk about the “blue holes” that were in some of those clouds.

First, I’m going to show you photos that I took of some clouds and “blue holes” back on April 6th.  The clouds are white, dark and grey … and you may see a “blue hole” or two in some of these clouds.  I also zoomed in on some neat-looking clouds as well.  There may be a little cloud inside of the big clouds also.

On April 9th, I snapped more photos of the clouds that were in the skies above Cuddy and National Hill.  The clouds that I saw on that day were also white, grey and dark … and there were “blue holes” in these clouds as well.

I hope you guys liked looking at the clouds and the “blue holes” as much as I liked showing them to you.  Enjoy your Easter!

Where’s Cuddy? It’s covered in fog!

During the second half of my blog’s fifth year, I’m going to give you a chance to revisit some of my past blog posts.

In March of 2015, I talked about a fog-covered Cuddy in a blog post. I snapped a photo of Cuddy while it was covered in fog … and you could only see the bare trees in the photo. At that time, I may have snapped one of the scariest photos ever. I think it was possibly the scariest photo that I ever took. It looked like something out of a scary movie a little bit.

Tomorrow, you will get a chance to revisit the last blog post that I wrote down during my blog’s first year.

On March 10, 2015, Cuddy was covered in fog. All you can see in this picture are many bare trees! On March 10, 2015, Cuddy was covered in fog. All you can see in this picture are many bare trees!

Earlier this week, the town of Cuddy was completely covered in fog. In this picture, you can see the bare trees, but you can’t see Cuddy at all. I took this picture at around 6:00 on Tuesday evening … and the fog completely covered up Cuddy. In my opinion, this might be one of the scariest pictures that I ever took, but then again, I’m entitled to my opinion.

I saw some “heavenly” clouds over Interstate 79!

On December 17, 2018, me and my grandmother were riding along Interstate 79 near Southpointe in the morning hours … and, while we were on the highway, I saw some “heavenly” clouds over the highway.  It was a very interesting thing to see … and I snapped a photo of those “heavenly” clouds while I was looking at them in the sky.

I saw some great-looking clouds on a Sunday morning!

At around 7:45 yesterday morning, me and my grandmother were going to Bridgeville T.J. Maxx to do some Christmas shopping … and, as we were riding towards the store, I saw some fantastic-looking clouds in the skies above South Fayette.  It was actually near the Newbury Market Shopping Center, which is currently under construction.

I snapped three photos of those fantastic-looking clouds while I was riding near that shopping center.  The clouds here are grey, dark, gold and white.  I also saw a little golden sky while I was snapping those photos.

More clouds are ready for their close-ups!

Earlier this month, I was able to snap some more photos of the clouds that were in the skies above South Fayette.  On October 8th, while I was taking one of my last evening walks ever, I snapped photos of the clouds that were in the skies above Alpine Road in South Fayette.

The next afternoon, while I was in my computer room, I snapped a photo of some clouds, which were located in the skies above Cuddy.  Some small clouds were inside of a big cloud whenever I snapped the photo.

As you probably know, I’m no longer taking my evening walks around National Hill, so the chances of me snapping photos of the clouds that appear above National Hill are slim.  Of course, if I’m able to see some nice-looking clouds at the locations that I go to regularly, I will do my best to snap a photo or two for you guys … and I might turn them into a blog post someday.

Joseph’s Trip To The Hickory Apple Festival

Happy Columbus Day!  Today, I would like to talk about my trip to Hickory’s Apple Festival, which is located in Washington County.  I went to this event with some of my relatives on Saturday afternoon … and I went there in all kinds of weather.  I still had fun at the event, nonetheless.

While I was at the Apple Festival, I snapped four photos of the clouds, which were in the skies above both Hickory and Mount Pleasant Township.  The clouds here are grey, dark and white.

Just moments after I arrived at the Hickory Apple Festival, it started to rain … and I also heard some rumbles of thunder while I was there.  I had to go under a green and white tent until the showers and the storms left Hickory.  Luckily, the skies cleared up … and the sun was able to come out just minutes after I arrived at the festival.

On October 8, 2018, I was sitting under a tent at Hickory’s Apple Festival. There are showers and storms in Hickory whenever I snapped this photo. I apologize if you can’t see my face too well in the photo.

I wasn’t able to see every exhibit while I was at the festival because the grass was too muddy, but I was able to see a few exhibits in some buildings and in some tents.  I also went to the Mount Pleasant Community Center … and, on the top floor, there is a fascinating train exhibit.  I snapped three photos of it while I was there.  The train exhibit was fantastic, to say the least.

I also bumped into two of my friends while I was at the Apple Festival.  First, I bumped into Michael Keehn, who went to South Fayette High School.  We both went to that school at around the same time in the early 2000s.  Ironically, Michael was at Nicky Papakie’s 50th birthday party in August of 2014 … and that birthday party was the subject of my first ever blog post.  Michael and I became friends on Facebook in February of 2015.  He’s one of the classiest friends I have ever known.

I also bumped into Ted Wolford, who works for the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, which is one of the festival’s sponsors.  I first bumped into Ted on National Hill back in August of 2017.  Ted is one of the classiest friends I have ever known.
