Joseph Goes To Another Waffle House Location!

On February 25, 2020, I went to the other Waffle House restaurant, which is located in Washington, PA.  This one is located near the now-closed Washington Mall.  Exactly two weeks earlier, I went to the one that’s located on the same road as The Meadows Casino, which is Racetrack Road.  Now, I am pleased to announce that I have been to both Waffle House locations, which are located in and around Washington, PA.  The restaurants are fantastic … and the food and the service are both excellent in these restaurants.

Now, whenever I went to Waffle House near the now-closed Washington Mall this past Tuesday, I had decaf coffee, two sausage patties, scrambled eggs and a waffle.  I had breakfast items there since I was there in the middle of the morning.  The food was good, to say the least.

As you can see here, I really like Waffle House a lot … and I have been able to visit both Waffle House locations in and around Washington, PA.  It’s hard for me to pick the best one out of these two locations, but if I had to pick one, I would have to pick the one that’s by The Meadows Casino.  Of course, I will do my best to go to both Waffle House locations in Washington, PA, again in the future … and I will eat lunch items whenever I go to these places again.

Joseph Goes To Waffle House!

On February 11, 2020, I went to Waffle House in the late morning hours with two of my relatives.  The Waffle House that I went to late that morning is located on Racetrack Road in North Strabane Township, which is in Washington County.  There are actually two Waffle House locations near Washington, PA.  The other one is located near the now-closed Washington Mall in South Strabane Township.

Now, I’d like to show you a photo of the outside part of Waffle House in North Strabane Township.

This Is How Joseph Spent His Day Off From Work Recently

This past Friday, I took a personal day from work.  I asked for that day off.  I have been at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx as a “regular worker” for nearly 13 years … and even the best workers, if I can call myself one, has to take a day off in this manner.  Well, I don’t like to stay at home on Fridays, whether or not I have to work, so I was able to be out and about for about 3 1/2 hours or so this past Friday.  I was out and about from around 9:45 in the morning until around 1:30 in the afternoon.

I went to both South Hills Village and Village Square in the South Hills this past Friday.  I went to both of those malls with my grandmother.  Our first stop was Macy’s.  I explored all three floors of the store while I was there.  They have a lot of neat things there, including Lens Crafters, Sunglass Hut, Finish Line, a hair salon and Macy’s Backstage.  Macy’s Backstage is like T.J. Maxx in several ways.  Like T.J. Maxx, they have fantastic items at fairly low prices.  While I was walking around the store’s first floor, I noticed that they also had a little coffee shop near one of the store’s entrances.  I had never noticed it there before … and I think they may have put it there recently.

At around 11:15 that morning, I went to the food court at South Hills Village.  I went to Noodles and Company while I was there.  I had Wisconsin-style Mac and Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup while I was at that restaurant.  I also had a bottle of water while I was there.

Then, after lunch, I went to American Greetings, which is located near the entrance to the food court.  That store is closing its doors there in the near future.  I personally like the Hallmark store better … and that store is on the second floor of the mall … and it’s near the entrance to Dick’s Sporting Goods.

At around noon time, we went over to Village Square … and we spent a few minutes at Kohl’s.  I really enjoyed myself while I was at Kohl’s.  Now, while I was over by the registers that are by the store’s back entrance, someone said “Joseph” into the phone that was in the department that I was in at that store.  It kind of spooked me.  Maybe the phone knew who I was.

Before my special day off from work ended that afternoon, I went back over to Macy’s at South Hills Village … and I was able to spend a few short minutes in that store.

So, overall, I had a fantastic day off from work.  I will be going back to work again at around 10:00 on Friday morning.  It will be my first day there in two weeks.  After all, I have to use my personal hours sparingly.

Joseph Goes To Wahlburgers At The Mall At Robinson!

Now, for 5 1/2 years, there was a show on A&E called “Wahlburgers.”  It was about the Wahlberg family … and it would sometimes talk about a restaurant called Wahlburgers, which is located near their home in Hingham, Massachusetts.  Now, Wahlburgers has several locations around the world … and one of those locations is in The Mall at Robinson, which is actually in the food court.  It’s not actually in the food court, per se, as it has their own seating area.  It’s primarily a sit-down restaurant.

I actually got to go to a Wahlburgers restaurant for the first time ever on September 23, 2019.  I had watched “Wahlburgers” on a nearly-regular basis for 5 1/2 years on A&E.  I watched it mainly on demand whenever the show was on A&E.  I would actually get to see some Wahlburgers restaurants on the show … and I would sometimes see the food that they have on there.  I also got to see them building a Wahlburgers restaurant several times on the show.

Now, I was able to enjoy myself while I was there.  The waitress who served me and my relatives that day did a fantastic job in serving us.  She also give us a little speech to first-time customers, like myself.  It went very well.  I was there at around lunch time this past Monday.  It wasn’t too busy whenever I first arrived there, but more people came in while we were there.

Now, inside of the restaurant, you can see pictures of the Wahlberg family … and you can also see the TV shows and movies that Donnie and Mark Wahlberg have done over the years.

I was able to enjoy myself while I was at Wahlburgers in The Mall at Robinson on September 23, 2019.

Now, while I was at the restaurant, I had water, a vanilla frappe, which is really a milkshake, Jenn’s Chicken Sandwich, which is a grilled chicken sandwich, and some french fries.  I also got to try out some special sauces that they had … and some of them were pretty good.  One of those sauces was the Wahl Sauce.  It was fairly good.

As I was leaving Wahlburgers in The Mall at Robinson on September 23, 2019, I was able to snap a selfie outside of Wahlburgers.  I like the restaurant a lot.  The food and the service were both excellent.  I will be going there again in the future.

As you can see here, I really enjoyed going to Wahlburgers.  I will be going there again in the future.  The restaurant is fantastic!

Joseph Celebrates His Blog’s Fifth Anniversary At Fairview Park!

On August 24, 2019, this blog, which is called “Joseph Pratt’s Interests And Some Other Things,” turned five years old … and, as you might have guessed, I celebrated the milestone at home that morning … and, that afternoon, I celebrated the milestone at Fairview Park.  It was one of the most exciting days of my life.  Whenever I went to Fairview Park for three hours on that day, I was able to go to South Fayette’s Community Day … and I bumped into some of my friends while I was there.  I also bumped into a local congressman while I was at Fairview Park.  I also bumped into a meteorologist from an out-of-town TV station, which is actually quite viewable here in southwestern Allegheny County.

On August 24, 2019, I went to South Fayette’s Community Day, which was in Fairview Park. I also celebrated my blog’s fifth anniversary while I was there.

I also saw some fantastic-looking clouds in the skies above Fairview Park while I was at Community Day.

IMG_20190824_114405223
I saw these clouds in the skies above Fairview Park on August 24, 2019. The clouds here are white and grey … and I saw some “blue holes” in the clouds as well.

Now, while I was at this event, I bumped into some of my friends … and I was also able to snap a selfie with a few of my friends while I was there.  Some of those friends are Dustin Lunn, Michael Meehan and Katie Meehan.

I also bumped into Congressman Conor Lamb, who is from the South Hills.

IMG_20190824_115304989
On August 24, 2019, I introduced myself to Congressman Conor Lamb, who is actually from the South Hills.

While I was at this event, I happened to bump into a TV meteorologist.  Now, this weatherman is not on one of our TV stations here in Pittsburgh, but this station is actually quite viewable in southwestern Allegheny County.  The weatherman’s name is Jeff Oechslein, who is the morning meteorologist at WTOV, which is the NBC affiliate in Steubenville, Ohio.  Let me explain this situation to you.  More than 15 years ago, I was able to watch WTOV on our TVs at my house before we started to get cable TV on just about every TV set in our house.  I would sometimes watch Jeff on the station’s morning newscast … and, in a way, that’s how I recognized this weatherman.

All in all, I had a fantastic day at Fairview Park on August 24, 2019.  I would like to say thank you to the people who were able to bump into me at this event back then … and I would like to say all of you for allowing me to have a blog for five years.  It has grown gracefully since August of 2014.

Joseph Eats A Pumpkin-Flavored English Muffin

Today, I was going to thank some more of my blog’s followers in a blog post, but, instead, I decided to tell you about an exciting food item that I ate at around 7:30 this morning.

After I turned off my computer this morning, I was looking for a snack to eat … and I stumbled upon some pumpkin-flavored English muffins.  They are Thomas’s pumpkin-flavored English muffins.  There are usually six English muffins in a package, but there were nine English muffins in the package this time.  Since I ate one of those English muffins, there are now eight … and that number will go down over the next few days.

Those muffins are good … and, if you guys like them, you should consider buying them at a store near you.

In honor of my blog’s fifth year, I’d like to show you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around October 2nd in previous years …

Did Joseph have the best dining experience of his life or what?

On July 17, 2018, I was visiting the city of Pittsburgh with my relatives. I went to Downtown Pittsburgh, Shadyside and the Strip District on that day … and, while I was walking through the Strip District late that morning, I happened to stumble across a place called Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grille. It’s a seafood restaurant, which is located on Penn Avenue in the Strip District. Me and my relatives ate lunch there … and I would just like to say that I really liked the place a lot. The food was fantastic … and so was the service. You could say I may have been the best dining experience of my life while I was at that restaurant. I may go there again in the future.

If you ever go to the Strip District yourselves, make sure you check out Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grille … and you, too, may have a fantastic dining experience.

Joseph Spends The Evening At Bubba’s Burghers!

At 6:33 yesterday morning, I turned 32 years old … and, just less than 11 hours later, I went to Bubba’s Burghers, which is located in South Fayette, with my relatives.  I spent one hour at the restaurant last evening … and I really like it a lot.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I really enjoyed myself while I was there.  I got myself a Bacon Ranch Burgher while I was there.  I asked the waitress to leave off certain things on the sandwich … and, sadly, they didn’t do that, but I was still able to eat most of the sandwich yesterday evening.

While I was at Bubba’s Burghers on May 1, 2018, I got a Bacon Ranch Burgher. I was able to eat most of it. It looks good, I think.

Today is my first complete day as a 32-year-old gentleman.  So far, my 32nd year on Earth is going fairly well.  Enjoy your day!

What Is Joseph Eating: Chicken and waffles

Today, I’m going to put another one of my rejected features to use in a blog post … and that feature is entitled “What Is Joseph Eating?”

Today, I’m going to tell you about an item that I ate while I was visiting DeLuca’s Diner a few weeks ago.  The item that I ate back then was chicken and waffles.  It was pretty good, even though it was a fairly unusual combination.  I put ketchup on both of those items while I was there.  I may consider eating this item again in the future.

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at my rejected features as much as I did.  Also … I hope you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.  On May 31st, I’m going to ask you an important question.  I will ask you guys which one of my new features I should add to my blog this summer.
