Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For June 2019

June is almost here … and Summer will be here in less than one month.  Now, throughout the Summer, I will be celebrating my blog’s fifth anniversary by giving you some great surprises … and, while I do that, my blog’s features will be taking a well-deserved break until the Fall.  I guess you could say my features will literally be taking a Summer vacation.

Today, I will tell you about some of the blog posts that I’ll be writing down in June.  At least one of the posts may catch your eye.

One of my blog posts will be entitled “I still have my Colussy Chevrolet shirt one year later!”  Nearly one year ago, I got a blue and white Raglan shirt from Colussy Chevrolet, which was celebrating its 100th anniversary last year.  I still like the shirt and I will try to wear it at some point this Summer.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “I have my Yeti Coolers hat one year later!”  I purchased my blue Yeti Coolers hat at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx nearly one year ago.  I like it and I will try to wear it often this Summer.  The hat is very classy and I hope you guys like it also.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Remembers His Battle With Lyme Disease Three Years Later.”  In it, I will talk about me getting Lyme Disease from a tick bite three years ago.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “I’m Getting Ready To Celebrate My Blog’s Fifth Anniversary.”  I will be getting ready to celebrate my blog’s fifth anniversary on August 24th … and, in this post, I will be telling you how I’ll be celebrating the milestone.  The celebration will start on July 24th … and it will last for one month.  I will have lots of surprises for you guys between July 24th and August 24th.

I will write a two-part blog post in June … and it will be entitled “Joseph Visit Crazy Horse Coffee.”  In it, I will talk about my trips to Crazy Horse Coffee, which is located in Washington, PA.  The coffee shop is owned by a former veteran named James Bendel.  This coffee shop is fantastic.  I had a small decaffeinated latte while I was there.  Make sure you check this place out if you ride through Washington, PA, someday.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “6,000 Views And Counting.”  My blog will hit the 6,000-views mark at some point in June … and I will let you know as soon as we hit that milestone.

I will give my features a break in June … and, throughout the month of June, I will give you chances to revisit some blog posts from my blog’s fourth year.  Some of them may surprise you.

Also, I will give my computer a break for one week in June.  I will be doing that from around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th, until around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 16th.  You will see two of these blog posts at different times between those two dates … and I may throw in a surprise in there at some point that week.

I hope you will check out at least one of my blog posts in June.  I’m sure at least one of them may catch your eye.

In honor of my blog’s fifth year, I’d like to show you five blog posts that I wrote down on or around May 30th in previous years …

Joseph Remembers His Battle With Lyme Disease Two Years Later

Two years ago today, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, just days after I got bit by a tick.  It happened while I visited my “undisclosed location” back in May of 2016.  Since then, I have done everything I could to stop myself from getting it again.  I stay safe whenever I walk outdoors near wooded areas … and I use our homemade tick repellent, whenever I possibly can.

I received my Lyme Disease diagnosis while I was at St. Clair Hospital two years ago.  In the days before I got the diagnosis, I had flu-like symptoms and I had a rash on my right leg.  It looked like a bulls-eye a little bit.  The next day, I started taking my medicine to get rid of my symptoms … and the symptoms of Lyme Disease were gone by the end of June.  I had a “Charley Horse” in one of my legs just before I went to St. Clair Hospital that evening … and I guys you could say it saved my life.  If I hadn’t gotten the “Charley Horse” then, I probably wouldn’t been able to get my Lyme Disease diagnosis right away … and I probably wouldn’t be here today.

Stay away from ticks if you are gonna go outdoors this Summer!

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts About Lyme Disease

Two years ago, I was first diagnosed with Lyme Disease at St. Clair Hospital, which is located in Mt. Lebanon.  I first received the diagnosis just days after I got bit by a tick in my “undisclosed location.”  The bite happened on the right leg … and then the “bite mark” turned into a rash.  If I hadn’t received my Lyme Disease diagnosis in 2016, I probably wouldn’t be here today.

I will write a blog post about the event tomorrow, but, today, I’d like to show you my top blog posts, which are about my battle with Lyme Disease.

Of course, if you guys are gonna go outdoors this Summer, please stay safe … and try to avoid ticks, if you possibly can.  I’m trying to follow suit as well.

The homemade tick repellent worked!

It has been one week since I returned from my “undisclosed location.”  Last year, whenever I went to this “undisclosed location,” I might have gotten bit by a tick while I was walking through a grassy area.  This year, while I was at my “undisclosed location,” I stayed out of the grass … and I did everything I could to stop myself from getting tick bites and even Lyme disease.  I wore a hat throughout most of this trip … and I also wore a long-sleeved shirt while I was on my trip.  I tucked my shirt into my long pants … and I also tucked my pants into my socks as well.  I also wore my new Revolution 3 shoes from Nike.

Now, let me tell you how I was able to stop myself from getting tick bites this time.  I used my new homemade tick repellent, which is made out of peppermint oil, and it seemed to work.  I was able to stop the ticks from coming towards me.  Ticks hate peppermint oil … and I think I was right about it.

I will continue to use it here at home this summer … and I’ll use it again if I ever travel to another “undisclosed location” this year.

Remembering Joseph’s Battle With Lyme Disease One Year Later

One year ago today, one of the nurses, who was working in the Emergency Room at St. Clair Hospital, said that I had Lyme disease.  I had a rash on my leg and I also had flu-like symptoms for a couple of days before I got that diagnosis.  The rash resembled a bulls-eye also.  I had gotten bit by a tick while I was at my “undisclosed location” several days earlier.  I’ve been doing well since then … and I’m trying to stop myself from getting Lyme Disease again.  I have a homemade tick repellent, which is made out of peppermint oil, and I will be using it many times this tick season.

Today, I’m gonna let you see my experiences with Lyme disease again.  I wrote some blog posts about it last year.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For June 2017

Can you believe it?  The month of June is here … and we are almost halfway through 2017 already.

I will be giving my features a break this month … and, in some of my blog posts this month, I will talk about some of the milestones that I will be celebrating this month.

One of my blog posts will be entitled “Remembering Joseph’s Battle With Lyme Disease One Year Later.”  I first got Lyme Disease one year ago this month.  It was found early … and I was able to get rid of my Lyme Disease symptoms a few days later.  I wrote some blog posts about my experiences with it last year … and I will let you guys read those blog posts for yourselves again.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “I have been working at T.J. Maxx for 10 years now!”  Now, I had actually worked at the Bridgeville T.J. Maxx store as a volunteer from September of 2006 until June of 2007.  Then, on June 11, 2007, they hired me to work there as a regular employee.  I currently work there once a week, but, several years ago, I worked there twice a week.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “My mother is turning 50 today!”  My mother, Susan Pratt, will turn 50 on June 19, 2017 … and I will talk about the event in one of my blog posts on June 19th.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “I have had a classy friend for one year!”  Last June, I became friends with a person named Jonathan Reed, who is married to one of my classmates from school.  I turned my new friend into one of Mr. Classy’s “stand-ins” just days after we became friends.  He’s a very classy person indeed.

I will also talk about some more interesting things in my blog posts this month.  Enjoy your day, my friends!

I’m ready for tick season!

Can you believe it?  It has almost been one year since I first got Lyme disease.  I had bitten by a tick at the location that I was at a few days earlier.  It was an event that I will never forget.   I will actually talk about that experience in one of my blog posts next month.

As you know, tick season has arrived … and I’m doing everything I can to stop myself from getting tick bites this year.  I now have a homemade tick repellent at home … and it’s made with peppermint oil.  I actually used the repellent earlier today … and I really like it.  I’ll be using it many times this season.
