Today, my 900th blog post will be about one of the classiest people that I have ever known … and his name is Derek Cryblskey.  Derek is one of the classiest friends that I have ever known.  He is a terrific friend and a terrific neighbor.  He also knows one of my store’s co-workers.

Recently, we were able to wear the camouflaged Yeti shirts with class.

On May 19, 2018, me and Derek Cryblskey, who is one of my friends, were able to wear the camouflaged Yeti shirts with class. Derek is one of the classiest people that I’ve ever known.

Joseph’s Top Blog Posts For June 2018

Can you believe it?  The month of June is almost here … and that means that Summer is right around the corner.  It also means that we’re almost halfway through 2018 already.

In this blog post, I’m gonna tell you about a few of the blog posts that I’ll be writing down in June.  One of those blog posts will be my 900th blog post.  I’ll be writing it in the middle of the month.  I won’t tell you what it will be about yet, but I will give you a hint right now.  My 900th blog post will be about one of my classiest friends ever.  It could be about any one of you guys.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Remembers His Battle With Lyme Disease Two Years Later.”  I will talk about my battle with Lyme disease, which occurred nearly two years ago.  It seems like I just had it yesterday.  Tick season is getting underway, so I’m doing everything I can to stop myself from getting it again.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph Is Not Going To The Cabins This Year!”  In the blog post, I will tell you why I won’t be going to the cabins this year.  The reason may surprise you a little bit.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “Joseph’s New Colussy Chevrolet Shirt.”  This year, Colussy Chevrolet, which is located in South Fayette, is turning 100 years old this year … and they will have a classy shirt, which will come out next month.  I may buy one for myself next month.  Of course, if I don’t buy one, then I won’t write this blog post.  I will write a back-up blog post … and I don’t know what it will be about yet.

Another one of my blog posts will be entitled “An ‘ode’ to a classy friend named Michael.”  This blog post will be about one of my friends, whose name is Michael.  I can’t tell you which one it will be yet.

I will also give my features a break in June.  I’ll be giving my computer a break from around 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8th, until around 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 17th, which is Father’s Day.

I hope you will check out at least one of my blog posts in June.  Enjoy your day!

My 888th Blog Post Is About The Number 8

Happy Memorial Day, my friends!  Today, I’m writing my 888th blog post down … and, today, it will be about the number 8.  I will tell you some rather interesting things about the number 8 … and I will try to use the number 8 in the things that I’m talking about here.

The current year is 2018.

One of my favorite routes in the Pittsburgh area is Route 978, which is located in my part of Allegheny County.

For the past few weeks, I was able to watch channel 208 for about 90 minutes on certain evenings.  I needed a way to unwind after going through some tough days.

I started my blog on the eighth month of a year, which would be August.  I started it in August of 2014.  August, of course, is the eighth month of the year.

Depending on my mood, I usually do my best to wind down during the 8:00 hour on certain evenings.  I will watch a program during that hour, if I’m up to it.

Whenever I gave my computer some “vacation time,” I will usually do it for eight days at a time.

My part of National Hill has eight other houses, which are all very unique in many ways.  We actually have nine houses in my part of the neighborhood, but I do like to give praise to the eight other houses, which are located in my part of National Hill.

In the past, I would sometimes work eight hours a week at my local T.J. Maxx store, but, in recent years, I would just work four hours a week at the store.  I really like it.

So, there you have it.  I was able to give you eight interesting facts about the number 8 that I think are interesting to me.  It was the subject of my 888th blog post.

Enjoy your day!

The “super” neighbors are back!

5 1/2 years ago, me and Michael Spicer have been “super” friends … and we have actually been “super” neighbors for more than 5 1/2 years.  He may have also been one of my neighbors whenever Pauline Danesky was still on National Hill.  Either way, that’s a long time.

Well, anyway, Michael and I are “super” neighbors … and we have our grey Superman T-shirts to prove it.  The shirts make us look classy and “super.”

Joseph and Michael Spicer have been “super” friends since at least August of 2012.

Yesterday was a record-filled day on National Hill!

You might not know this, but I sometimes love to talk about records.  No, not the things that feature some of our favorite songs, but the records that are sometimes set by various people or things.  Last year at around this time, my blog set two new records in a single week … and, yesterday, it was literally a record-filled day in my neighborhood.  Here on National Hill, we set two new weather records in one day … and both of those records were over 100 years old.

We set the first record of the day late yesterday morning.  The old record high was 68, which was from 1891, and we easily got up into the 70s before the morning was over.

After we set the first record, I walked to our mailbox … and, after I came back from the mailbox, I snapped a photo of some clouds, which were in the skies above Cuddy.  There were grey clouds in the sky … and there were some wavy clouds in the sky as well.

On February 20, 2018, while I was outdoors, I snapped a photo of some clouds, which were located in the skies above Cuddy.

A few hours after we set the first record yesterday, we set another one.  At around 4:00 yesterday afternoon, the temperature was 78 … and it would become the warmest February day in our city’s history.  It also prompted me to take my first evening walk around National Hill this year.  It went very well … and I saw some familiar faces outdoors.

On February 20, 2018, I took my first evening walk of the year. It was very warm while I was taking my walk then. Of course, I will take many more of my evening walks later this year.

Spring doesn’t officially start for another month or so, but it certainly felt like it yesterday.  Enjoy your day, my friends!

Remembering Pauline One Year Later

One year ago today, my aunt, Pauline Danesky, passed away at the age of 88.  She was also my neighbor here on National Hill for over 20 years.  I was able to say good-bye to her at a funeral home in Bridgeville just days after she died.  She was laid to rest the next morning.  I haven’t visited her grave site yet, but hopefully, I can do that just as soon as the weather gets warmer.  I will remember Pauline for a long time.

Saying good-bye to some neighbors

Late last week, it was warm outside … and I was able to walk outdoors for the first time in a few days.  While I was walking to my mailbox on Thursday afternoon, I noticed that a moving truck was in our neighborhood … and two of my neighbors were about to leave National Hill for the last time.  We had actually been neighbors for a few years by this time.  The neighbor’s names are April and Zack Simons.  Even though we won’t be neighbors anymore, we’ll continue to remain friends for a long time.  Hopefully, a nice person will buy that house in the near future.  I will remember April and Zack for a long time.  They are great friends … and great neighbors.

Blog Post Number 775

Today, I’m writing my 775th blog post … and this blog post will be about one of the classiest people that I have ever known.  This person will be turning 21 this week.  The person’s name is Anthony Davidson.

Even though I don’t see this person very much, he is still one of the classiest people that I have ever known.  He is a terrific friend and a terrific neighbor.  Happy 21st birthday to you, Anthony!

The Ten Things That You May Not Know About Joseph Pratt (Part 2)

Today, in the second part of this two-part blog post, I’m going to tell you five more things that you might not know about me.  The first five things may have surprised you … and the other five things may surprise you as well.

6. I don’t like to sleep in a completely dark room.  On some nights, I like to sleep with a night light, which is in my bedroom.  Whenever I go on trips with my relatives, we will leave a light on in a bathroom all night long.  I just don’t want to bump anything at night, that’s all.

7. I eat breakfast twice in the morning.  Let me tell you what I mean by that.  I eat cereal at around 6:05 in the morning … and, then, about 90 minutes later, I will eat two slices of bread.  Of course, I drink 1 1/2 cups of coffee every morning.

8. I’m a classic TV junkie.  For many years, I have been able to watch many classic TV shows on various TV channels.  It’s hard for me to pick an old show that I like, but I have to say that it’s a toss-up between “The Lucy Show” and “The Golden Girls.”  I mainly like programs that make me laugh.

9. I’m a huge Kenny G fan.  When I was a kid, I would hear Kenny G’s song “End of the Night” being played on The Weather Channel … and, since then, I have been a fan of his work.

10. I know most people on National Hill.  Several people, who live on National Hill, know me fairly well … and I know them as well.  They are terrific neighbors and great friends.

Thank you for taking the time to see the ten things that you may or may not know about me.  Did they surprise you in any way?

Enjoy your day, my friends!
