This blog talks about the things that interest Joseph Pratt the most. It also talks about the events that are going on in Joseph Pratt's life! Also, on some occasions, I will tell you about an event that happened to me while I was younger, I will show you a blog post that I wrote down in the past, I will ask you some interesting questions and I will tell you about things that relax me.
On June 26th, I purchased a very classy summertime shirt at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville for nearly 25 dollars. The shirt is a light blue short-sleeve button-down shirt from Tommy Hilfiger. The color is “Corydalis Blue.” The shirt is very classy … and it goes with nice shorts, blue jeans and dress pants.
I did try on the shirt yesterday morning … and the shirt fits me well. I don’t know when I’ll be wearing the shirt yet, but I will try to wear it at some point in the near future. I can’t tell you when I will do just that yet.
I hope you guys like this shirt as much as I do … and I will do my best to wear this shirt in the near future. Wait until you see how classy it is whenever I do wear this shirt.
This past Friday morning, I returned to work at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville since the afternoon of March 13th. My first day back at work was very interesting, to say the least. My temperature was taken at the store’s entrance. My temperature was 98.1 degrees, so I was able to work there that day. I wore my plain white mask while I was there … and I did my best to stay at least six feet away from other people while I was there. I was able to do the things that I usually do whenever I work there once a week. My co-workers were glad to see me … and, in a way, I was glad to see them. I didn’t buy any classy items while I was there this past Friday, but I may buy myself a classy item or two while I’m there this Friday.
Now, I got some plain white masks at Big Lots recently … and I will do my best to show you one of those masks in a future blog post. Of course, I will be wearing my plain white masks to T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville many times in the future, whether I go there as a customer or as an employee.
Since mid-March, I have been staying at home in order to keep myself safe during the Coronavirus Outbreak. Now that some counties in Pennsylvania are about to move into the “green phase,” including Allegheny County, I will be able to leave my home safely for the first time in more than 2 1/2 months pretty soon. I have two masks at home. One is my white 3M mask and another one is my Pirates mask. If I do have to go out, I will be wearing one of those masks … and I will be wearing a mask whenever I go back to work at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville on June 12th. I can’t stay home forever … and I will have to leave my home again in just a matter of days. Don’t be surprised if you see me out and about with my mask on before the Summer season begins.
Since the afternoon of March 13th, I have not left my house … and, believe it or not, the last time I was not in my house, I was actually leaving my workplace, which is T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville. For about 2 1/2 months or so, I have stay in my house or very close to my house, but I have walked down to my mailbox a few times a week … and I walk in my half of the block, whenever I don’t see a lot of people outdoors.
Well, in just over 2 1/2 weeks or so, I will be able to go back to work at T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods in Bridgeville for the first time in almost three months. Part of me is ready to go back and part of me isn’t ready to go back. I have worked there for almost 13 years now. I would love to work there forever, but I may not be working there forever, but who knows? I will probably be there for a number of years. I became a regular T.J. Maxx worker on June 11, 2007.
On March 12, 2020, “Mr. Classy” was back on the streets of Pittsburgh … and, this time, he was able to wear the grey Nike half-zip pullover with his outfit.
His latest trip to Pittsburgh was not as long as his previous trips were, but it was still a fantastic day, nonetheless. Now, “Mr. Classy” was walking through the streets of Downtown Pittsburgh for a few minutes that morning. He would walk to the Port Authority building on Smithfield Street for a few minutes … and, then, after that, he would go to Burlington Coat Factory, which is right down the street from the Port Authority building. He was at Burlington Coat Factory for a few minutes.
After he went to Burlington Coat Factory, he spend more than a couple of hours at Rivers Casino on the North Shore. He really enjoyed himself there.
Then, at around 12:45 that afternoon, he walked through the first floor of Fifth Avenue Place for a few short minutes. This is probably one of the best buildings in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Now, I am going to give you a little extra thing in this blog post. Now, “Mr. Classy” did not just visit Downtown Pittsburgh and the North Shore this past Thursday. At around 2:15 that afternoon, he was able to end his special day by spending a few minutes at Shop ‘n Save in Raceway Plaza. While he was there, he saw a lot of empty shelves in the store. That’s because people are preparing for a potential Coronavirus outbreak in this country. I’m sure a lot of you, including myself, are hearing about Coronavirus in a number of ways. I hope you will stay safe during this potential outbreak.
Well, as I wrap up today’s blog post, I hope you guys were able to enjoy hearing about Mr. Classy’s trip to various parts of the Pittsburgh area, which occurred this past Thursday.
Now, two months ago, I wrote a blog post entitled “Joseph’s New Classy IZOD Sweater.” I got it as a late Christmas present in December of 2019. I really like the sweater a lot … and I’ve worn it several times since I got it as a late Christmas present nearly 2 1/2 months ago. I was able to cave in and have a relative buy me that sweater at a local Kohl’s store after I saw it in an ad inside of my local Kohl’s store, which is located in Robinson Township. Comedian Colin Jost and Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers were wearing the sweaters in the ad that I saw while I was in Kohl’s during the 2019 Holiday season … and I really wanted the sweater … and I was able to get it as a Christmas present. I also showed you the neat design that goes all around the sweater … and the color’s name is ‘Peacoat,” but it’s really blue.
I wrote this blog post because I needed to talk about of my Christmas presents … and, since I did not get the blue and green Under Armour pullover for Christmas, I wasn’t able to talk about it in a blog post. That’s why I ended up talking about my blue IZOD Sweater in a blog post instead.
Now, this past Friday, I went to Big Lots in Bridgeville … and, while I was there, I purchased two new hand creams for myself. My hands sometimes get cracked and dry, especially in the Winter time. So I will do whatever I can to make sure that my hands stay smooth, no matter what. One hand cream is from O’Keeffe’s … and one is from Gold Bond Ultimate. I used the hand cream from Gold Bond Ultimate on Friday afternoon and then I put my gloves on for a while after that. Then, before I went to bed on Friday night, I used O’Keeffe’s Working Hands cream … and I put my gloves on shortly thereafter. Hopefully I will have smooth hands soon.
I hope you guys like these hand creams as much as I do … and I hope you will buy one or both of these hand creams for yourselves sometime soon. They work in keeping your hands smooth. Hopefully these creams will work on my hands as well.
Now, I went up to Big Lots in Bridgeville both yesterday morning and on Friday morning. On Friday, I went up there with my mother … and, yesterday, I went up there with my grandmother. Now, while I was up there on both of those days, I was able to check out some of the Broyhill products that Big Lots has in that store. I mainly focused my attention on their outdoor stuff. Broyhill calls it the “2020 Spring Season.” Now, it is Winter outside, but that doesn’t mean that we have to stop thinking about Spring. I saw a lot of their items for Spring … and they were near the front of the store. Now, the items up there are worth either hundreds or even thousands of dollars. I like most of the outdoor items that I saw up there, but since they are fairly expensive, I probably won’t be buying any of their outdoor items anytime soon. I like the pavilion that they had up there, too, but it is worth around $1,300. Overall, Broyhill’s outdoor items looked very nice to me … and I will try to look at their items again if I do go up to that Big Lots store again.
This past Friday, I took a personal day from work. I asked for that day off. I have been at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx as a “regular worker” for nearly 13 years … and even the best workers, if I can call myself one, has to take a day off in this manner. Well, I don’t like to stay at home on Fridays, whether or not I have to work, so I was able to be out and about for about 3 1/2 hours or so this past Friday. I was out and about from around 9:45 in the morning until around 1:30 in the afternoon.
I went to both South Hills Village and Village Square in the South Hills this past Friday. I went to both of those malls with my grandmother. Our first stop was Macy’s. I explored all three floors of the store while I was there. They have a lot of neat things there, including Lens Crafters, Sunglass Hut, Finish Line, a hair salon and Macy’s Backstage. Macy’s Backstage is like T.J. Maxx in several ways. Like T.J. Maxx, they have fantastic items at fairly low prices. While I was walking around the store’s first floor, I noticed that they also had a little coffee shop near one of the store’s entrances. I had never noticed it there before … and I think they may have put it there recently.
At around 11:15 that morning, I went to the food court at South Hills Village. I went to Noodles and Company while I was there. I had Wisconsin-style Mac and Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup while I was at that restaurant. I also had a bottle of water while I was there.
Then, after lunch, I went to American Greetings, which is located near the entrance to the food court. That store is closing its doors there in the near future. I personally like the Hallmark store better … and that store is on the second floor of the mall … and it’s near the entrance to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
At around noon time, we went over to Village Square … and we spent a few minutes at Kohl’s. I really enjoyed myself while I was at Kohl’s. Now, while I was over by the registers that are by the store’s back entrance, someone said “Joseph” into the phone that was in the department that I was in at that store. It kind of spooked me. Maybe the phone knew who I was.
Before my special day off from work ended that afternoon, I went back over to Macy’s at South Hills Village … and I was able to spend a few short minutes in that store.
So, overall, I had a fantastic day off from work. I will be going back to work again at around 10:00 on Friday morning. It will be my first day there in two weeks. After all, I have to use my personal hours sparingly.
As it turns out, I actually have one more Christmas present to show you. I found it in the closet in my bedroom … and I wasn’t able to put it to use … until yesterday. The item in question is a black long-sleeve Henley shirt, which is from Apt. 9. The shirt is actually from Kohl’s. Now, this Henley shirt is very classy … and it goes nicely with blue jeans and very nice dress pants. It may also be worn with nice dress shorts or cargo shorts … and it should never be worn with sweatpants or gym shorts. Yesterday, I wore the Henley shirt with jeans … and, if everything goes well, I will wear the shirt with shorts whenever it warms up a little bit more this Spring. I hope you like the Henley shirt as much as I do.
