This blog talks about the things that interest Joseph Pratt the most. It also talks about the events that are going on in Joseph Pratt's life! Also, occasionally, I will talk about some things that happened to me whenever I was younger, I will talk about a past blog post that I liked to write and I will also ask you guys some interesting questions as well.
This past Wednesday, I entered my mid 30s … and I was able to get some terrific presents for my birthday in 2019. I got mostly clothes again … and I got one DVD. I got the second season of the USA Network series “Sirens” on DVD. I already have the first season of the show on DVD. I remember watching “Sirens” a lot a few years ago and it was one of the funniest shows I had ever seen.
Well, anyway, let me tell you about the other gifts that I got for my birthday this year. I will show you a picture of my gifts in this post, but I’ll try to describe my gifts to you in detail, of course. I got a grey polo shirt from Chaps, a pink long-sleeved Garfield shirt, a grey Pirates shirt, a black V-neck sweater from Nautica, a “Dragon Ball Z” T-shirt, a purple crew neck shirt from Arizona and a grey half-zip top from Nike. I will be putting my gifts to use in a matter of days … and I may be talking about at least one of the items in a blog post or two in May.
I hope you like these items as much as I do. They are some of the classiest items that I have ever owned.
In December of 2016, I wrote a blog post entitled “Does this dude have class or what?” In it, I talked about my beige John Ashford sweater, which I got as a Christmas present back then. When I started to wear the sweater for the first time, I thought that it would give me a class turn me into a “classy dude” … and, boy, was I right about that! Every time I wear it, it gives me class. I was inspired to write the blog post because I was able to wear one of the classiest sweaters in my wardrobe. I really like this sweater a lot … and I hope you all like it also.
At 6:33 this morning, I entered my mid 30s … and, so far, it’s not as different as it was whenever I was in my early 30s. I’m looking forward to seeing what being in my mid 30s has in store for me. So far, being a 33-year-old gentleman is fantastic. I would like you to wish me a happy 33rd birthday today.
Today, I’m writing my 1,100th blog post … and I would like to talk about a classy friend of mine in this post. His name is Nicholas Ciesielski. I have been a friend of his for at least a decade or so. He worked with me at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx a few years ago. He’s one of the classiest people I have ever known.
Nicholas now works at the Railyard Grill and Tap Room in Bridgeville … and I bumped into him there three times since the place opened back in the Fall of 2016. We had our Penguins jerseys on when we bumped into each other there the first two times … and, when we bumped into each other there just last Sunday, we had our Boston Terrier sweaters on for a few short minutes.
When I bumped into Nicholas at that restaurant in November of 2016 and in May of 2017, we wore our Penguins jerseys.
On November 26, 2016, I bumped into Nicholas Ciesielski while I was at the Railyard Tap Room And Grille in Bridgeville. We both worked at the T.J. Maxx store in Bridgeville a few years ago.
On May 1, 2017, I bumped into Nicholas Ciesielski, who works at the Railyard Grille and Tap Room. When he was there that evening, he was just another customer.
Now, when I bumped into Nicholas at the restaurant earlier this month, we were able to wear our Boston Terrier sweaters for a few short minutes.
In August of 2018, I bumped into Nicholas at South Fayette’s Community Day, which was in Fairview Park.
As you can see here in these photos, Nicholas is one of the classiest friends I have ever known … and, now, at times, we are able to wear our Boston Terrier sweaters with class. Who knows? Maybe I’ll bump into him at T.J. Maxx in Bridgeville someday.
Thank you, Nicholas, for allowing me to be one of your friends for several years. Keep being classy, my friend!
Next time, I will give you a chance to revisit two of my blog posts from my blog’s second year … and one of my posts will be about “Mr. Classy.” Any guesses?
If you’re wondering why the title of today’s blog post is “Joseph Gets ‘Railed’ With Some Friends,” well, let me explain it in details. This past Sunday afternoon, I went to the Railyard Grill and Tap Room in Bridgeville for about two hours … and they say “Get Railed” at this place. That’s why the title of this blog post is “Joseph Gets ‘Railed’ With Some Friends.”
Well, anyway, I’d like to talk about my recent trip to the restaurant. I spent about two hours at the Railyard Grill and Tap Room on Sunday afternoon … and I wanted to see The Bill Ali Band while I was there. There was a lot of people at this place at that time, but, nonetheless, I still enjoyed myself. I was able to hear the music … and, whenever I was able to do so, I was able to see the band play the music as well. The Bill Ali Band is fantastic … and I will do my best to see another one of their shows in the future.
I wore my Boston Terrier sweater to the restaurant; however, I didn’t wear it the whole time because it was warm outdoors that afternoon. I wore my purple V-neck T-shirt underneath of my sweater.
I also got to meet Bill Ali, who is the leader of The Bill Ali Band. I am truly a fan of this work, even though if I’m not able to see the band in person on a regular basis.
Earlier that day, I said some rather nice things about The Railyard Grill And Tap Room on Twitter … and my tweets turned up on one of the boards, which is inside of the restaurant. You can tell that I’m very loyal to this place … and I will continue to be loyal to it for years to come.
While I was there, I bumped into Nicholas Ciesielski, who is one of the managers of the Railyard Grill And Tap Room. I have bumped into him at this place two other times before that … and, back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, I worked with him at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx. We have been friends for at least a decade now. Me and him were able to wear our Boston Terrier sweaters for a few short minutes while we were there.
Now, I also promised myself that I would get myself a Railyard Grill And Tap Room shirt whenever they would sell them to customers … and I kept my promise. Just before I left the restaurant, I was able to buy myself a Henley shirt. The sleeves on it are 3/4 inches long. After I was able to buy it, I tried it on and it fitted me perfectly. I plan on wearing the shirt on Thursday … and I will talk about it in a blog post later this month.
As you can see here, I like the Railyard Grill And Tap Room a lot … and now I have a Railyard Grill And Tap Room shirt. I will try to “Get Railed” there again at some point in the future and I will wear my shirt while I’m there.
On December 21, 2018, just hours before Winter officially started, I received my new red Boston Terrier Christmas Sweater. The sweater is from a company called 33 Degrees … and you can find it at Target. The sweater is full of class … and it can be worn with either jeans or with dress pants.
I really like this sweater a lot … and I will try to wear it often this Winter. As I said before, the sweater can be worn with either jeans or with dress pants … and I was able to wear the sweater with both of those things over the Christmas weekend.
Last Friday evening, I wore the sweater with my tan-colored Dockers pants.
This past Sunday, I wore the red Boston Terrier sweater with my light wash jeans from American Eagle Outfitters.
As you can see here, I like this sweater a lot … and, even though Christmas is over for 2018, I will do my best to wear this sweater as much as possible this Winter. It is a very classy sweater … and it’s possibly the first Christmas sweater that I have ever owned. If you like this sweater as much as I do, please buy yourselves one at Target soon.
Next time, I will talk about my new black and white Nike Air jacket.
This blog post was originally supposed to be written on December 10, 2018.
One year ago, I purchased a grey cardigan sweater at the now-closed Sears store at South Hills Village. That store was in the mall for 53 years. Well, anyway, the sweater is from Simply Styled … and there are four lines that go across the front part of the sweater. The sweater is full of class … and I like it a lot. I’ve worn it a few times since I bought it. I got it as a Christmas present almost one year ago.
If you know me well enough, you should know that I like to buy a few classy items for myself every year. Since today is Black Friday, I’d like to show you a classy item that I purchased recently.
Earlier this month, I purchased a half-zip sweater at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx. The sweater is dark grey … and it’s from Beverly Hills Polo Club. It’s unusual in a way because there’s a tiny pocket in the sweater’s left sleeve. I don’t know if I’ll use the pocket myself, though.
Can you believe it? It has been just over one year since I purchased a grey Chaps sweater at Bridgeville T.J. Maxx. I’ve worn it a few times since I purchased it … and I’ll be wearing it as often as I can this Fall. The sweater is full of class … and I really like it a lot.
Joseph is able to wear the grey Chaps half-zip sweater with class. He has owned the sweater for at least one year.
