On September 29, 2016, while I was taking my evening walk, I got confused because I saw a lot of things in the sky. I saw some very dark clouds, I saw some white clouds and I saw some blue “holes” in the sky. While I was walking, I asked myself, “Is it nice outside … or is it gonna rain tonight?” Well, luckily, it didn’t rain while I was walking, but I believe it did rain just hours after I finished taking my walk.
We had thunderstorms here in Cuddy last night … and just before I went to sleep last night, I was able to take a picture of a somewhat scary sunset. This is probably one of the scariest sunsets that I have ever seen in my entire life. You almost can’t see it, though.
Earlier this morning, I saw a calm-looking sunrise in Cuddy. It was probably one of the best sunrises that I have seen in quite some time.
Back in May, I was able to talk about some of the blog posts that got the most views on them. Now, this week, I will be away for several days … and for the next three days, I will be talking about some blog posts that didn’t get a lot of views on them.
Today, I’d like to talk about one of those blog posts. It only got viewed once. I wrote it back in April of 2015 … and it’s called “Walking before the storm arrives.” In it, I talk about walking around my neighborhood before seeing a thunderstorm move into the neighborhood. The storm arrived in National Hill just moments after I finished walking around my neighborhood. Talk about perfect timing!
Here’s a link to that blog post …
Walking before the storm arrives
On Sunday night, there were thunderstorms in Cuddy. Before I went to sleep on that night, I heard some rumbles of thunder and I saw a lightning strike or two … and I also saw some dark and stormy clouds, which were over Cuddy at that time. As you might have expected, I took a picture of those dark clouds just before I went to sleep. I know I shouldn’t have done it then, but I just couldn’t help it. The dark clouds actually looked fascinating to me.
In my opinion, this is probably one of the scariest pictures that I have ever taken, but then again, I have taken pictures which may have been even scarier than this one.
Earlier this afternoon, I saw all kinds of clouds in the skies above Cuddy. There were white clouds in the sky … and there were dark clouds in the sky as well. In a way, those clouds were almost fun to look at. I’m also pointing to some great-looking clouds in the picture, which you can find above this blog post.
If that wasn’t enough, at one point this afternoon, I heard a couple of rumbles of thunder … while the sun was still shining! It wasn’t even raining at that time. The sun was shining … and I heard a couple of rumbles of thunder at that time.
As I was walking yesterday, I noticed that there were some dark clouds in the sky … and it was also in the 70s yesterday afternoon. Also … I felt several raindrops while I was walking around my neighborhood a few times this week. What I’m about to say here may shock you even more. Just minutes after I finished walking last night, the thunderstorms arrived in National Hill … and guess what? I was able to go indoors right before the storms arrived here … and they lasted for several minutes. I timed my walk perfectly last night. Last Thursday, I was walking around Oakdale with some of my relatives … and it was raining while we walked in that town. Luckily, there were no thunderstorms in Oakdale back then. So, remember, before you go outdoors at any time, make sure the weather is nice first.
