This blog talks about the things that interest Joseph Pratt the most. It also talks about the events that are going on in Joseph Pratt's life! Also, on some occasions, I will tell you about an event that happened to me while I was younger, I will show you a blog post that I wrote down in the past, I will ask you some interesting questions and I will tell you about things that relax me.
In 1998, I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, with my relatives … and I was able to visit the Magic Kingdom while I was there. Now, I have ridden on train rides at various amusement parks for as long as I can remember … and I did see a train ride while I was at Disney World. It’s called the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The ride is in the Frontierland section of the Magic Kingdom.
Well, innocently enough, I go on what looks like a train ride, but not long after I get on the so-called “train ride,” I find out that I’m actually on a … roller coaster! Can you believe that?! Now, I had never ridden on a roller coaster in my life until then … and I have not ridden on one since I rode on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World 21 years ago.
Will I ride on another roller coaster again? I don’t think so!
During the second half of my blog’s fifth year, I will give you chances to revisit some of my past blog posts … and, during the month of June, I will give you chances to revisit some of my blog posts from my blog’s fourth year. Today, I will give you a chance to revisit two of my past blog posts from my blog’s fourth year. In both of these blog posts, I am talking about Mr. Classy’s trips to Pittsburgh.
In March of 2018, “Mr. Classy” made the first of two trips to Pittsburgh. He was able to wear the black leather jacket, which is from Vintage Leather, for several hours on that day. On that day, he visited Shadyside, The North Shore and Downtown Pittsburgh. At the end of the blog post that I wrote down in March, I said that “Mr. Classy” might go to Pittsburgh in a matter of days … and he was right. He went there again a few days later … and he went to some great places in Pittsburgh. When “Mr. Classy” went there in April, he went to Shadyside, The North Shore and Downtown Pittsburgh. In his two trips to Pittsburgh, “Mr. Classy” went to Panera Bread in Shadyside, The Rivers Casino on the North Shore, The Clark Bar and Grill on The North Shore, Burlington Coat Factory in Downtown Pittsburgh and Fifth Avenue Place in Downtown Pittsburgh. Will he go there again in the future? Probably.
I am showing you the blog post from March of 2018 and I will also show you the link to the other blog post, which is from April of 2018.
On March 14, 2018, “Mr. Classy” was able to spend a few hours in the City of Pittsburgh. While he was there, he was able to wear his black leather jacket, which is from Vintage Leather, with his very classy outfit.
He was able to visit Pittsburgh from around 7:00 in the morning until around 2:00 in the afternoon. It was also very chilly outside back then, but that didn’t stop “Mr. Classy” from snapping four selfies both indoors and outdoors.
On March 14, 2018, “Mr. Classy” spent a few hours in Pittsburgh. He stood near the Omni William Penn Hotel while he snapped this selfie. It was still dark outside at that time.
At around 7:00 in the morning, “Mr. Classy” was standing near the Omni William Penn Hotel, which is located on Grant Street in Pittsburgh. He was standing in front of Brooks Brothers before the sun came…
On April 18, 2019, I went to Fella’s Barber Shop in McDonald … and, after I left the barber shop that morning, I snapped a photo of the bridge, which is part of the new Southern Beltway. The bridge is gonna go over Route 980 in McDonald. Sorry it wasn’t a good picture of the bridge, but it sort of tells you that it will make a fantastic addition to the new highway.
Over the past couple of years or so, I have been able to see the Southern Beltway being built, whether I ride through McDonald or Gladden. It’s part of Route 576 … and, so far, it looks fantastic. Our part of the highway should open at some point this Summer … and the whole highway will be completed in about two years. I have ridden on one part of it already. It’s the part that goes from Route 22 near Bavington to Interstate 376 at Pittsburgh International Airport in Findlay Township. I like the roadway so far … and I can’t wait until they finish building it. It will be a great roadway to ride on and see whenever it’s finished.
Now, over the years, I have gotten used to seeing a four-lane highway near my house … and it won’t be long before I’ll have to get used to seeing two four-lane highways near my house. One of them is Route 50, which was first built as a four-lane highway in the 1970s, and the other one is the Southern Beltway, which will open in about two years.
Tomorrow, as we wrap up the month of April, I’m going to give you a chance to revisit the last blog post from my blog’s second year … and I wrote the post down in August of 2016.
In the Fall of 1987, a Marriott hotel first opened up its doors along the Parkway West near Pittsburgh International Airport in Findlay Township. The hotel is located at the corner of Aten Road and Montour Run Road. It has almost always been a Marriott hotel … and, a few years ago, it was a Wyndham hotel for a while.
Now, when I was younger, I would visit the hotel several times. I once toured the place with a relative … and I would also spend some nights at the hotel with my relatives. I would mainly do that in the Winter months. The rooms there are fantastic … and they also have a great indoor swimming pool. It also has a whirlpool, a sauna and a fitness center. They have an outdoor pool as well, but I have never been to it since it’s not open whenever me and my relatives stayed there in the Wintertime. I also ate in the hotel’s restaurant … and the food there was fantastic. Also, while I was in the hotel’s indoor pool a few years ago, I may have been able to see members of the New England Patriots coming into the hotel. It was an exciting moment for me.
I like this hotel a lot … and I hope I can visit it again soon as an overnight guest. I rode past the hotel recently … and I noticed that they put in a Dunkin’ Donuts in front of the hotel. The hotel is very classy!
Next time, I will give you a chance to revisit one of my blog posts from my blog’s second year.
On March 14, 2019, “Mr. Classy” went shopping in both North Fayette and Robinson Townships for a few hours. Before I went on this shopping trip, I went to Bridgeville Giant Eagle … and, after I went on the shopping trip, I went to Imperial Shop ‘n Save. Even though temperatures were in the 70s that day, that didn’t stop me from wearing my grey Michael Kors jacket to my destinations throughout the day … and I also wore the jacket with shorts. Yes, “Mr. Classy” is allowed to wear shorts on certain days.
At around 9:30 on Thursday morning, I went to Wal-Mart, which is located in the Pointe at North Fayette. I was able to buy a few things while I was there. I also snapped a selfie near the entrance to the store’s “Garden Center.”
At 10:30 that morning, I went over to Panera Bread, which is located in one of the smaller shopping centers in North Fayette. It’s not too far away from Wal-Mart. I had a terrific sandwich and a strawberry smoothie while I was there.
After lunch, I went to JCPenney, which is at The Mall at Robinson. I was able to see some terrific things while I was there.
At around 12:45 on Thursday afternoon, I was able to check out Duluth Trading Company, which is located near The Mall at Robinson. I didn’t have a lot of time to check out the whole store, but I was able to enjoy myself there, nonetheless.
Before I ended my shopping trip in both townships that afternoon, I was able to snap a photo of some clouds, which were in the skies above Robinson Township. I was in the parking lot of the JCPenney store whenever I snapped the photo.
“Mr. Classy” was able to enjoy yourself on his little shopping trip this past Thursday. Who knows where he might end up next? “‘Mr. Classy’ says, ‘see you all later!'”
Several years ago, I traveled to Avella, which is located in Washington County, with my relatives … and, in the late ’90s, I even went to Meadowcroft with my fellow students.
Well, anyway, I’m gonna tell you about my trips to Avella. I would just take Route 50 from my house to Avella with my grandparents a lot whenever I was younger. We would sometimes see interesting things in Avella … and we would also ride on the other roadways that are in or around the little town. Some of those highways include Route 844, Route 231 and, of course, Route 50, which goes right through Avella. I like this town a lot … and I will try to go there again soon.
On December 17, 2018, me and my grandmother were riding along Interstate 79 near Southpointe in the morning hours … and, while we were on the highway, I saw some “heavenly” clouds over the highway. It was a very interesting thing to see … and I snapped a photo of those “heavenly” clouds while I was looking at them in the sky.
2018 was a fantastic year for my blog. It was seen over 1,400 by various people this year. For the next two days, I’m gonna talk about my top blog posts for 2018 in a two-part blog post … and, today, I’m gonna talk about the blog posts that were seen by various people at least 10 times this year.
On December 12, 2018, Joseph went to a “surprise” location.
On December 12th, I visited a “surprise” location for about an hour that morning. I wanted to try a new place out … and I would like the place that I would visit. I arrived there at around 9:40 in the morning. The name of the place is Fella’s Barber Shop, which is located in McDonald.
I was able to get a terrific haircut at this place … and I would like to thank Adam Stoffella and Hunter Dorazio, who were the barbers there, for allowing me to get my haircut there this past Wednesday. They are terrific barbers … and I will go there again in 2019.
Yes, I will continue to go to Maestro’s Barber Shop on some occasions in 2019.
Today, I’m writing my 978th blog post down … and it will be about one of my favorite roadways in the Pittsburgh area. That roadway is Route 978. It starts near Gladden and it ends near Imperial.
I have traveled on Route 978 many, many times in my life … and I really like the roadway a lot. One of my relatives lives right on that roadway … and some of my favorite businesses are located on the roadway. I could ride on this roadway all day long, if I could. It’s just a great roadway.
Route 978 is one of my favorite roadways in the Pittsburgh area. While I was getting ready to ride on the roadway on October 11, 2018, I snapped a photo of the southern end of the roadway.
On October 11, 2018, I snapped this photo near Route 978 in Oakdale.
Over the years, I have gone to a lot of exciting places, which are located along Route 978 … and I’ve talked about some of those businesses in my blog posts over the past four years.
